DJ-Classifieds is a very good classified ads system for joomla, and the EasySocial app is very nice. It has a great many settings that you can toggle on and off to change the way it works. My only complaint is that it appears to use a members full name and not their username regardless of what you do, and this is a big issue for me. I'm waiting to hear back from them on that issue, and hope that I'm just an idiot that can't figure out how to configure it correctly. ...

The actual rating (2 stars) is NOT fair and is a biased review of the component value. It deserves a 4 stars... reason why I'd like to push it up with this second rating and comment... Please read my previous review below... :-)...
TOP - Best value for money !

Not a scam and certainly not too expensive. I have tried several classifieds/auction components or add-ons. Some that are up to 5 times more expensive (some had more e-commerce/ticketing/forum/coupons components included hence the high pricing). They were like a Gem in the description but in practice it was a nightmare... I clearly shout it out loud: THIS ONE IS THE BEST VALUE FOR MONEY ! The component is very versatile, can be tweaked easily to fit your needs, has the options and custom fields to adapt to your project. It is fast and has a nice display/layout. It already has some translations and can be easily translated (like options and custom fields). It integrates nicely in Easysocial profile and stream pages. The support is quick and friendly. (I had to apology because some of my questions had response in their docs...) Also do not miss the other components they offer, I have 2 of them and do not regret a single cent of money I spent......
Not a scam....but too expensive

Its not a scam. The app itself is free but its useless without the DJ Classifieds component, which costs $75 for the basic system. Overall, its a pretty good Classifieds system but, unless you need a fully-fledged classifieds system, its going to be quite an expensive add-on to Easysocial...
