Hi !

I have a site with EasySocial and PayPlans.
I want to have a BASIC ( Free Plan ) and STANDARD ( Paid Plan) User Profile Types

If I configure my User Profile Types with different ACL privileges, is it possible to set EasySocial so, that a user with lower privileges is still able to see the restricted options, but get a message to upgrade if he try to use them?

For example: BASIC can't create Pages, but STANDARD can. So BASIC user is able to see the button "Create New Page" but when he click on it he get a message to upgrade to STANDARD.

Hey Victor,

If you want that certain profile types user's should be able to create page then it's possible by configuring the ACL in profile type.

You can assign profiletype as per Plan subscribed by user using PayPlans Easysocial Profile Type app.
Check here : https://stackideas.com/docs/payplans/administrators/apps/easySocial-Profile-Types

Let me know if you have any query or correct me if i misunderstood.

Hey Karanveer,
thanks for getting into this.

Yes I know about that settings and I'm using it.
But when I disable Page Creation for certain Profile Type, then the button "Create New Page" completely disappears for users from that profile type, and they don't get aware that they should upgrade their profile type to create pages.

So my my question is - is it possible, the button to be present for them, but when clicked to show message, for example "You are not allowed to use that feature" or "You need to upgrade your account to use that feature"?

Currently it's not possible to show button to aware user about that they need to upgrade the membership. It will require significant changes in core files. So which is not possible at the moment.

Let me know if you have any query.

Yes this would be a very good feature to have in the system connecting to Joomla user groups / ACL settings too.. hope that could be solved in near future.
