Hello,

we have the following plan:
Social network for private users and the following functions:

  • normal social network functions as known
  • seeing the jobs (see companies for understanding)
    seeing news items
    car sharing
    marketplace
    wiki

Social network for companies (payplans):

  • normal social network functions as known
  • posting jobs
    news items
    banner ads

Thank you.
Hello Petra,

Thank you for your interest in EasySocial. EasySocial doesn't have the exact functionality that you want per-se but some of these could be configured based on the profile types.

For instance, you could set profile type for private users to not be able to post items while profile type for companies would be able to post items.

Hello Petra,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. If you are referring to jobs postings, car sharing and wiki I am unaware of any extensions that does this for EasySocial specifically for job posts.

As for marketplace, there is Hikashop extension and Hikashop app from https://stackideas.com/apps/item/3378-hikashop-app . News items could be achieved using EasyBlog or Joomla articles while there are other 3rd party ads extension like https://stackideas.com/apps/item/90-socialads-more-than-just-social-advertising

Thank you.
I thought of integrationg e.g. JS Jobs (https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/js-jobs/) in the menu. Should be possible right?

Another question which just popped up - can I change the emojis with my own?

Hello Petra,

Hm, you could install JS Jobs in Joomla but to be honest, I am not sure if JS Jobs has integrations with EasySocial. You need to check with them.

Currently you can't change emoji's via the settings. You can however, use overrides to replace the existing emoticons, https://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/templating/overriding-smileys-emoticons

Ok, it's good when I can override them.

I would not integrate it. I'll probably do it in an own menu, where just the companies can see the link to post jobs. I guess this would work

Ah I see, perhaps you could try out the suite of our products at http://demo.stackideas.com as it has all our products installed on that demo.

If you want separate demo sites for each products, you can find them below:

http://easysocial.stackideas.com - EasySocial
http://easydiscuss.stackideas.com - EasyDiscuss

With Joomla's ACL and com_versions you can turn articles into Wikis. Don't want some articles as wikis? No problem. Simply configure the ACL for a given article category in the category manager. Content versioning is built into the core along with permanent versioning so that you can have assurance that malicious users won't be able to take certain contents down as long as you assign a permanent version on articles that need a "forever" version.
