1. How do i get the Social combine Blog and Discuss on one page or one one toolbar?
2. Do I need to assign the menu to one of the Social options? The documentation does not tell you about their functionality.
3. when on the dashboard, how one can get to publish a post or write on forum?
4. I dont understand at all about assigning modules within EasySocial! Does this mean a module say from Blog can be assigned on say dashboard? I am confused.
- I would like to have different registration processes for Forum users and Blog and Social (same for both). I know you can use JomSocial and EasySocial respectively
- I will need the approval of pending users under EasySocial, which I have set up
- I do not need prior approval of JomSocial uers
- but also I want to allow EasySocial users (who will be registered within EasySocial to have access to JomSocial, preferrably without the need to have to go through another user registration process.
- At the same time I do not want JomSocial registered users to have access to EasySocial dashboard
Im totally confused about installing from backend > EasySocial > application > install
Does this mean that from here i can install the whole new component, i.e. EasyBlog and Discuss?
I have managed to get the sidebar show in the dashboards, which contains New Blog Post and Old Blog Post.
I do not want to have EasyDiscuss only in the EasySocial (f you meant installing EasyDiscuss in Social). I want it to be a separate component, which users could have access to from outside of Social Dashboard.
But, I also want those who are on EasySocial have access to it too in order to reply to questions posted on Discuss.
So I want to have 2 groups of people
1. Those who only have access to Discuss and
2. Those who have access to Social+Blog (from Social dashboard) and also they should have access to Discuss in order to interact with the first group of users.
I thought that it would be possible through registering at two register providers
1. EasySocial (for Blogs and Social Dashboard) and
2. Second type either Joomla, JomSocial or Community Builder.
What Im trying to achieve is that those who have access to Discuss should not have access to the Dashboard and should not be able to post blogs.
Alternatively, if you think I would need to install both DIscuss and Blog through Social, then I want those who want to post blogs to pay.
How is that possible?
1. you say the site does not have Easyblog/Easydiscuss component. Where do I get them? What are they? What is the benefit of having them? Please provide m ore details.
2. >> Let me verify with your question :
#1. Group 1 : You want allow user access Easydiscuss but can't allow the user access Easysocial dashboard?
#2. Group 2 : You want allow user access Easyblog, Easydiscuss and Easysocial dashboard?
Group 1: has access to Discuss only.
Group 2: has access to Social Blog and Discuss.
3. >> by the way, is it possible create some new user group from your Joomla backend,
Example :
which user group only can access -> 1. EasySocial (for Blogs and Social Dashboard) and
Which user group only can access -> 2. Second type either Joomla, JomSocial or Community Builder.
so that I can know help you configure with this?
I dont understand your question.
-> So, I can download and install from through SOcial? Does this mean I have to uninstall the one I had installed through backend ext manager?
Im sorry mate, I just dotn get what you are saying. My question was simple.
1. What are the benefits of installing Discuss and Blog through Social?
2. How do you do it.
3. Do I need to uninstall ones I had installed from backend?
