I was trying to figure out why ED wasn't showing up in ES stream so I searched and came across this

To display EasyDiscuss posts in EasySocial stream, you need to install this apps first. http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-24_1048.png

You can buy it at here. http://stackideas.com/apps/item/6-easydiscuss

Hope this help

Somebody please tell me this isn't true! I will be extremely disappointed in StackIdeas if it is. I am moving sites from Jomsocial to ES and this will be infuriating.
Hey Kane,

Thanks for the heads up on this and this is actually something that we are reconsidering now. To offer a free (lighter) version with just stream integration while having other features as a separate app. We are also considering switching all our built in apps as free while the rest of the apps as paid instead.

This will probably be implemented after we release 1.4 as our hands are pretty filled with work right now

Hey Kane,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Initially, the idea was to provide the app for free. However, the integration app is a little bit trickier than we thought and providing it for free will not justify the hard work our developers have put into. Kindly take note that the payment is only one-time, meaning that once you’ve purchased it, we will provide support for it for lifetime; you won’t have to renew it again.

ok, I am happy to hear support is for a lifetime. I have to purchase both the ED and EB integrations. You guys are awesome and this one surprised me greatly. Here are my thoughts on this, you should pass this to whoever is making these decisions:

For those switching from Jomsocial to ES, this is considered an extra charge for switching, given all JS integrations are included in the price of the component itself. From a consumer side the question is, "why would I be charged a premium for purchasing another product from StackIdeas?". This goes against common sense.

In another vein, it is assumed that ES, EB, & ED components would all work together, which is one of the advantages of purchasing all the components from a single company rather than piecemeal. To find out they don't after the initial purchase hurts the credibility of the company. You may have heard the quote before, "people will forget what you said and what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel". This is extremely important to understand in business. Your product is excellent, your customer support is top notch, but if I "feel" I got ripped off, even in a little part, it colors the rest of my experience. I will reiterate that your product is excellent. I don't mind paying more for it because I know it's quality. With that said, in my opinion, StackIdeas would be better served charging the amount upfront and not on the backend. This will take away any feelings of being ripped off. Please understand this isn't a complaint, but rather advice, if I could be so bold to give it to a company that was already great.

Keep up the good work

And a perfect response (of course) . I know your company and products are headed for greatness. I'm just glad I could be part of the steering column
