Hi,

I want to report this:

In Easy Social, in a discussion, it is possible to change the title of conversation

EVEN IF THE CHAT IS ONE-TO-ONE

This is not bad in what produces: it gives possibility to create a "group discussion" without creating effectively a group discuss; useful for example if you are working on a project with a user and want to highlight that conversation. **

But it is a mistake conceptually: it should be not possible to change a discussion with only a person. **

This doesn't happen in ConverseKit (in which only group discussion name can be modified).

** in this regard: what do you think of creating "tag" or "label" for discussion?

Figure you are working on a project with your colleague, and want to know that the conversation is for the project "Message Development System"; when you finish the project, you want to delete that tag.

or, simply, it would be useful to give the possibility of creating a "group discussion" with only two participants.

Good work
Hm, not really sure what the issues are with changing the title of the discussion on a one to one chat. What are the implications / issues that you see when allowing people to change the title of a one to one discussion?

Hi Mark

Maybe I am a singular case in terms of using EasySocial. I show you some of the ideas of the way in which I utilize (and intend to utilize) Easy Social.

A part is here: https://stackideas.com/forums/story-and-examples-of-easysocial-uses

I show you other examples here, in the particular case of group creation, from my point of view.

1) Team Working
Say I want to do some project with you; one is "Software development" (SD), another is "Finance Analysis" (FA) and another is "Change the world" (CW).

And in these project we admit, from time to time, free lancer. But most of time we work only me and you.

So we can create three "Group" with that name (SD, FA, CW), and admit the free lancer when he has to work with us, only on a particular project.

Or simply if we want to create three separate project without free lancer, only me and you, and organize the work.

2) Membership services
Say I have a counseling support service with membership.

I offer assistance and support for (example) 3 month.

And I use EasySocial for this kind of support.

Even if I don't want to hide EasySocial from other registered not paying user, I want to recognize which user is a payed user.

I can create a group whit him, e.g. "Assistance for Jim Rose" and after three months archive that group.

Hey Vincenzo,

Thanks for your input, I already discuss with our team regarding this, we can see the point as what you explained at above, we will considering to make it as a setting in Easysocial 2.2, so who only want to change the one to one conversation title only affect on one side, admin can decide to turn it off the setting from backend.
