I am talking about the newest version of the EasyDiscuss app, that is why I gave these two links of additional fixes that are lost in the updated EasyDiscuss app from Oct. 5th.

this brought back the icon but the categories are still wrong. I appreciate your support, it is outstanding but a weak spot seems to be the reading. I feel often like my posts are not read completely. This time i.e. I described all problems inside my first post even with links to the former made fixes and now we are going round and round. I mean, for me this is not a problem because I am in no rush at this time. But for you this means more work for coming back to this thread again and again.

The problems were explained in the both threads linked but I will try to resume the solutions necessary.

- Only placeholder categories can be selected as it was weeks ago. When I use the hacked discuss.php the categories totally disappear.
- When I insert the edited discuss.php, posting comments to the thread works, but there should be comment link for stream posts of answers hidden, because these comments are not synced to the thread.


On my live site I have not yet made the update to 1.4 I am testing everything on a backup site before, for which I have details below:
