Hi guys,

With the recent announcement regarding payed support for Wanderers, I'd like to know what exactly will be included in the scope of support before I purchase?

Thanks,
Chaim
Hi Chiam,

Thank you for your inquiry. Justin here, from Stack Ideas' marketing team. I apologize for this some sort of a "double post", I was inclined towards elaborating more on this issue. When we first launched Wanderers, the idea is to provide our users with a free template that comes as it is and does not have any support package. However, we've been receiving numerous support request for Wanderers since day one; ranging from minor bugs to customization inquiries/request.

The amount of support time that we've provided starts to take it's toll on us as time goes by, we are faced with an ultimate and inevitable decision; either we should drop Wanderers altogether and turn down all support requests, or we need to charge it in order to sustain our support team.

We opt for the latter as we do not want to leave our users hanging.

I hope my elaboration helps you to understand the reason behind the change of Wanderers' pricing plan. As for the support scope, just like my colleague, Yasser, have elaborated; support scope for Wanderers is the same as the support scope for our other components. The only difference is in the pricing plan; Wanderers does not have any renewals. With $45, you are entitled for support for as long as you want.

You can get more info on the support scope here.

Let me know if you have any other inquiries.

HI Chiam,

I felt great with your interest in Wanderers. As for your inquiry, we will provide support for Wanderers just like other our components; such as bugfixes, updates, future request, small customization and periodically update for Wanderers template. You can refer to this Sensible Support page for more details.

Have a nice day ahead.

@Mohd @Ahmad thanks for your response.

Will the following customization be included be included with support, if not how would I go about adding those features to the template?

  • Adding module positions to the template.
  • Modifying the color scheme to something else.

  • Do you have a link or image of the template positions, I can't seem to find it?
  • Does the template support RsDirectory?
  • Which other 3rd party extensions are compatible with Wanderers?

Thanks in advance,
Chaim

Hey Chaim,

Adding module positions is really simple and I don't think you would require any support for that If you view the index.php file of wanderers, you'll find most of the codes there

To load template positions, you could just inject ?tp=1 into your address bar as this is actually a functionality provided by Joomla We don't have out of the box support with RS Directory but I believe most extensions would work fine out of the box.

When we mean support, when you face some issues with the template working with another extension or if you require any help configuring the template
