Hi,

I would like to ask / discuss with you what is your hardware to host a brand new social community with Easysocial, Easyblog and Easydiscuss? Currently I only have a hosting package which is named "professional" by my hosting company, but I do have the impression that it's not enough to start with, because even the dashboard size of Easysocial seems to be to large and slow as a good landing page...

I am already using e.g. Amazon S3 to store Easysocial medias, but may be this might not be necessary because I try to start a regional / German community.

Maybe it's also possible to exchange some configuration files, e.g. the htaccess-file of your Joomla root.

Thanks for every hint or tipp,

Horst
I am from germany as well and I can tell it is mandatory at which hosting company you are. The differences are huge. In case of Strato / 1und1 / AllInkl and all the other big ones you have to leave there. You need a real Joomla hoster in first case.

If you get the right hosting company a webhosting account will be enough to start with. To give a recommendation I prefer fc-hosting.com. I am working with "Expert" and "Business" package from their site and "Expert" is a great start. Very fast and extremely reliable.

The founder is a Joomla pro and the support is just amazing. Gettings answers in less than an hour in most times, no matter what time it is...

Hi Sabih,

thanks for your feedback! My current hosting company is alfahosting.de. I am really interested in your experience with your provider and the performance of fc-hosting. Do you mean fc-hosting.de? fc-hosting.com is forwarded to artfiles.de a hosting company from Hamburg.

Would it be possible to exchange the domains to have a closer look to the performance of your page? I am really interested if it's my providers fault....

To be honest, I have no experience with alfahosting so far. I was with the three I mentioned above and found out that the big ones are not the best choice when hosting a Joomla based site. I am at fc-hosting.de and found it by asking inside a Joomla forum like joomlaportal.de or forum.joomla.de. Maybe you will find some more experienced guys there to tell you something about alfahosting compared to other Joomla based hoster.

Hi Sabih,

again thanks for your feedback including the details. I am already in contact with the provider and testing.....I keep you informed. What I already can say is that the support is really fast and friendly! Currently there seems to be no performance advantage to my existing provider, but fc-hosting will check this today and inform me about possible solutions...

Hello Horst,

Have you tried out cloudaccess yet? You can check them out here, https://ccp.cloudaccess.net/aff.php?aff=4459

We used to recommend Siteground, but some customers doesn't seem to be too happy with them while some others are happy with their services too. You can check them here, https://stackideas.com/siteground-hosting

Another alternative is Inmotion hosting. They did provide guarantee that our extensions are compatible with their hosting packages, https://stackideas.com/inmotion-webhosting
