Hello,

We have installed the application "Web Push Notifications" and followed the recommendations of the article https://stackideas.com/blog/get-notified-with-onesignal-web-push-notifications but we are unable to receive notifications. The notification popup appears but it seems that we are unable to subscribe to push notifications.

We did tests on computers and on mobile, without success.

Do you think this could be a connection problem between the application and OneSignal ? Or an error somewhere?

You can find our contact details for the website https://app.onesignal.com in "site details".

Best regards.
Hi there,

Firstly, it seems you have forgotten to key in the onesignal keys in easyblog backend setting Settings>notification>push notification
https://take.ms/KgqhR .
However, as I have input the necessary key, it seems I still unable to make it works. As I tried to access your frontend Easyblog I am hitting the error shown https://take.ms/RoLaWo
Uncaught ReferenceError: EasyBlog is not defined

May I know do you hit any errors/difficulties once you update/install EasyBlog before?

Hi there,

I have re-tried just now, it seems the notification is works fine now. Perhaps, there is some cache happened (I have access using Firefox browser and asked my friend to access through safari as well: https://take.ms/TjiJg https://take.ms/Y0MPW
I have double check if the subscription is subscribed correctly in the onesignal it seems it stored correctly : https://take.ms/9jyzs

Can you give it another try?

Hello,

Indeed, the first welcome message appears but it seems that the easysocial notifications do not appear. A user liked one of my comments in the newsfeed and I did not receive anything.

Best regards.

Hi there,

I have temporary create a new test user to testing some of the notification, and I have tried to replicate your issue which is like one of an item, it seems I get notified by the push notification correctly https://take.ms/cPbSb (I also try to friend request as well https://take.ms/WAMtk )
May I know do you access your site in incognito browser mode?
By the way, can you double-check if the user's push notification setting is enabled? https://take.ms/mFXxX

Thanks for your cooperation and understanding

Hello,

We have trouble activating notifications.
When clicked, it turns green. But when you leave the page and come back, it is deactivated again.

Is it possible to force activation?

Best regards.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, there is no way to force activate this web push notification.
May I know do you access your site using what browser and it is in the incognito mode?

Hello,

We use Chrome and never use the "incognito" mode but it is possible that the problem comes from the management of cookies on the site.

Best regards.

Hi there,

I see, perhaps can you temporary disable the cookies and see how it goes?
By the way, can you also checked the notification in the chrome tab as shown: https://www.screencast.com/t/f0r5umA1j6eK is it shows 'allow' ?

Thanks for your cooperation and understanding
