I have enable the "Note" applications at Backend>Components>EasySocial>Applications as shown http://prntscr.com/ctlmoq

The "Note" application will appear here http://prntscr.com/ctlmx4 under applications section.

The App must have been at least enabled, because I used the menu entry to see the blank (CSS'ed) bok telling me, the user, that I do not have any notes.

From this screen, (Menu Noter/Notes) I do not see how I, as the user, can create a new note?

Same goes for using the menu entry "articles" (Indlæg)

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Based on your screenshot, it seems like that is user profile page right? if yes, that is actually filtering the note item when you click on it.

If the user want to create note, they have to go to their dashboard e.g. https://www.yourdomain.com/community/ , then click on the note app from the left sidebar, it will show the create note button on the right panel, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Regarding the article app, this only can display those article stream which admin create the article from Joomla.

But I've checked in your site, it seems like you have installed Easyblog in your site, so you actually no need use this article app, you can install this blog app from our page -> https://stackideas.com/apps/item/5-blog then install it from backend > Easysocial > application > install > enable it, then this app can allow your site member to create blog post on your site from the story panel.
