Hello

I use the Elegant template on the mobile.
That is fine but I am wondering if you have something more, an extension, etc.

EasySocial App by AppCarvers seems to have a bad reputation from users feedback
What is your advise?

Thanks
Henri
If you primarily only want to have social network, you should consider the mobile web template, https://stackideas.com/apps/item/3361-mobile-web-template

listen, i even use Appcarver. Don't buy the apps. The Support is terrible and the product isn't nearly from the expirience from Stackideas.

Hm, is their support that horrible? Perhaps you are comparing them with StackIdeas' support eh?

trust me, use the mobile Template. It's really easy to setup and works fine.

Appcarvers, never ever again. I purchased it before 3 months and yet aren't all apps done. I write a replay and have to wait for days.

Take a look on stackideas. You write something small - not urgent - and even in the weekend you receive a reply as fast they could deliver. What also great is, that even when the issue is not on their fault, they help you out. Write custom fixes and their focus is the satisfaction from their customers.

You can't find something such rare and helpful like stackideas. I pray to god, that one day, they would also provide Android and iOS Apps. Will pay anything what they're looking for. You wouldn't get any problems with it. A full around package for your community.

i use stackideas products, and will use them above all other providers. Stackideas ist the best choice i've ever made!

Is there even a single customer who made a positive experience with Appcarvers so far? I have never seen or heard something positive from there.

Let's take some time to compare some prices that I think is very interesting to get a feel for that company:

Stackideas = Malaysia -> gross domestic product per capita = 9.500$
Appcarvers = India -> gross domestic product per capita = 1.700$

Is making an app based on a component more work than the component itself? Hard to imagine... But Appcarvers wants 299$ when EasySocial is 149$. Based on the gross domestic product per capita the price for the app should be around 25$ for being as expensive as the component. So if we compare both products and do not forget the country each company is located at, the app is 10 times more expensive than the component! I see no reason for the bad support time they have as well as the quality of the support itself. Only left possibility is that they do not care for their customers beside the cash.

Yeah it was a bad choice with them. Also no one delivers an app, which is useful. Our users told us, they rather us our mobile version. Would wish something like this into a android an iOS App.

To be fair, i think the Appcarvers is a smaller team than stackideas. But, they don't have so much tickets. I don't get it, why they trade customers in that way.

I would also pay 1000$ for the apps, when they come from stackideas. I know sure, that they will work like charm. That's also the reason, why i use stackideas products over jomsocial.

Stackideas listen to the users, solve their issues and fix everything up - even it's not related, to their products. We can only love stackideas. Also the reactiontime for the tickets.

Go Stackideas, make Apps!

Hey guys,

Thanks for your input on this and I greatly appreciate all the praise and feedback provided here. It is really an honor and it is priceless! As Sabih mentioned, it's not entirely just about making money (although we need them to continue sustaining) but it's more of a satisfaction in helping people build their sites.

P/S: We are a very small and lean team in comparison to other extension developers. Only half of it is from the development theme. Hence, we always appreciate some help on the forums so that we can do what we do best!

Thanks for your advice, Mark.

Last question: is that possible to choose one template for a usage with a laptop (ie. the Elegant template that I currently used) AND the mobile web template ONLY for a mobile usage?
Or do I must choose one template for both usage?

The mobile template is displayed for users on tablets and mobiles only. For users on desktop pcs and laptops your current template continues to work.
