There was an issue with easy discuss with the latest Joomla version

Fatal error: Cannot make non static method JRouter::encodeSegments() static in class DiscussRouter in /mnt/data/vhosts/casite-529834.cloudaccess.net/httpdocs/components/com_easydiscuss/helpers/router.php on line 818

After getting the above error when I upgraded my joomla to latest version, I had to uninstall easydiscuss component (Joomla support did it to resolve the issue).

I assumed the latest version (if there is one) would have identified the issue and downloaded from my easydiscuss account (may be its the same version as before) and installed it on my resolved Latest Joomla site.

the issue resurfaces. Please look into it

I tried to open it using notepad (after renaming to .html) and the file is all wrapped. what tool do you suggest to update the file by opening in neat format as explained in the above thread? Or is there the beta version (or next version) available to download or can you fix it for me on my website?
