Show old topics to members whose subscriptions are expired. read-only?

Hi,

I happened to use EasySocial and my membership had expired. That closes all the forums too!!

Is it too much to ask for a "read-old" just to view the answers here for old members? It isn't fair to ask to renew a subscription! I'm not even asking for support.

I'm simply trying to read this:

I am sorry but unfortunately in order to view the forums on our end, you need to ensure that you have a valid subscription. It would be unfair to users who have been renewing their subscriptions

However, you can always read posts that are created in other sections.

True but it's also unfair to ask for subscription just to read an old topic!

Remember: I simply want to read, not post a topic for support.
