I am not quite sure if I understand your current issue, is this what you mean?

1. Go to the Easydiscuss search page
2. select the category filter to category A
3. Type the search keyword there and click search
4. But the category filter reset to the "All categories" option?

no, something different.
I need to search beginning from the current category and its subcategories.
In Your Helpdesk I can select "EeasyDiscuss" and then I see all the post to Easy discuss.
But Your search field is always for searching over all categories.
In Your search field I HAVE TO select the category first.
I have a lot of categories and subcategories
and in that case it is very hard to search for something
when You have always select the category first in a large list.

In Kunena You have a search field which starts the search from the current category,
searching also through the subcategories from the current category but nothing else.
This is much much easier and the way the my users would expect.

If I already 'selected' the discussion 'EasyDiscuss'
then I want to search there and nowhere else
as far as I am in this category.

If I search and I don't find what I am looking for,
I have to search about, let's say, 5 times.
Then I have to select the category for 5 times.
Probably the user will give up before.

Unfortunately, we do not have this functionality similar to Kunena.

Currently, the user only can filter the category discussion post on the recent discussion page, you can check my attached video.
