Is there a way I can have an RSS Feed and under each item in the feed have buttons of either:

1. Start Discussion - Nobody has created a discussion yet
or
2. Add a reply & View Replies (3) - Somebody has already started a discussion

My picture shows roughly what I mean.

THe idea being that someone can easily read a story in the RSS feed and then start a discussion in the forum about the news story they were just reading on the site.

I can see these buttons available in Easy Discuss and wondering if I can mix them with the RSS module?

Or is there another way to achieve this idea using Easy Social or Easy D??
Hi Jason,

I'm not quite get what you want here, do you want to add the 'start discussion' 'add reply' and 'view reply' button from EasyDiscuss into this page: https://www.riskoracle.com/news-terrorism (which is your custom code of joomla article)?
so the button 'start discussion' will be link to easydiscuss's create discussion?
and how about the 'add reply' and 'view reply'? which reference post that you want it to be refer? as the content was not from EasyDiscuss post

What i am trying to achieve is a way a member reads a story on the site in the rss module.

They see 1 of the stories they want to start talking about in Easy Discuss.

So they have a quick way for any of the stories to start a discussion.

Maybe they click a button and the new discussion is created with the RSS content.

So in an RSS feed maybe some stories have Start discussion or maybe some stories already have a discussion open. So the member clicks Read replies and can see what is being said.

The RSS feed is coming from an external URL.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Jason,

This is quite difficult to achieve which is require to edit the EasyDiscuss core.
I am really sorry but unfortunately we cannot accommodate your request currently as it is beyond our support scope's policy as outlined in https://stackideas.com/support

Having said that, if you require us to perform the customization for you, you can always request for a quote from us at https://crm.stackideas.com and select "Customizations" . Our sales person would be glad to send you a quote for the customizations that you have requested.
