Hi,

I needed to restore a backup of my site (using akeeba backup) because of some problems in the current site. The Easyblog in this backup is outdated, meaning no posts that were posted after the day of this backup. Can I just recover the posts from the backup date onwards? Or will I have to uninstall Easyblog from my backup site and follow these steps: https://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/migrations/migrating-easyblog-to-different-site ???

Regards
Hello Jose,

It actually depends on whether or not there are any posts created after the backup. If there is, then it is tricky because the "id" would clash.

Hi,

So you suggest me to uninstall easyblog from the backup site, dump the current site database, restore in the backup site database, and then install easyblog?

Yes, that is assuming that something has changed since the backup was created. By the way, uninstalling would not delete the tables, you would need to manually remove those #__easyblog prefixed tables and restore in the backup site.
