Please find my answers from your inquiries below.

> What happen is when someone get a notification for a new post, if I click reply and leave the original message at the bottom untouched, it add that weird formatting…

Ah I see. You can actually set a reply breaker from your backend > easydiscuss > settings > email parser > publishing options > reply break, with any string that you want so that EasyDiscuss will be able to detect the end of reply much easier and truncate it accordingly. Refer my example below where i use [REPLYBREAK] to identify the end the replies.

Hi there,

This is a reply. Please respond.
[REPLYBREAK]

Some older message below here in which it will be trimmed by easydiscuss system.

Hey there,

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a look?

You can edit your first post then insert your Joomla backend and FTP details.

Or you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site rather than needing to keep adding them in your replies .

Hi Ragheb,

I've just performed a reply break test on your site and the reply did get shown correctly as you can see from the test post here, http://innovativeusers.org/iug-forum/8612-another-test-by-by-stackideas.html . Below is how I insert [REPLYBREAK] inside the email content in order for this to work correctly, http://take.ms/OfolK . You should be able to view my full email content from email address that handling email parser on your site.

Hope these help.

Hi Ezrul,

Ahhh I see, i didn't insert [REPLYBREAK] when i was testing, I was thinking it's on the backend setting so users will not have to do anything when they reply from email once we set this setting up.

unfortunately leaving it up to the users even if we tell them some will forget and when they reply it display lots of spaces and that weird formatting.
Thank you

so, I can change the text [REPLYBREAK] to anything else "end reply"

could it be just end reply or it has to be [end reply]

Thanks

Hi Ragheb,

Yes. You can specify any words that you like and it will work just fine.
