Currently when you mass assign points via CSV upload there is no field required for the 'Points ID' and I understand a '0' is applied in the DB tables for all uploaded Points ID's..

Just like when you upload a CSV for badges and get to include the Badge_ID, I have the need to include, at times, a Points ID to existing points rules. So could a Points ID column be added to the Points CSV upload requirements please?

Of course if the person preparing the CSV doesn't want to map to an existing Points ID number then they can use the '0' that I understand is currently allocated to all points uploaded by CSV.
OK thanks for consulting on this on providing the update. I'll get by then by just doing some manual SQL commands each time I upload - assigning a points ID number to what I uploaded on that particular day. That should work. As I understand it the uploaded by CSV data just gets assigned with a 0, so I'll just manipulate that through SQL / DB editing to associate with the Points ID's I need.

Hi there,

Maybe you can refer them here https://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/points/mass-assignment on how to mass assign those points for your user.

Maybe i have miss-understand your requirement on above reply. It would be best if you can provide us with more explanation for more better understanding. Please advice.

Hi Abdul... Ah yes I know about the mass upload feature and that's what I'm reporting here... it doesn't allow for a column in the upload file for 'points ID' to allow the points to be associated with a points rule.

Consider the mass assignment for badges - you can assign a badge ID in the csv file.

Currently the mass assignment for points just allocated a 0 into the points ID database field, I'm suggesting here it should accommodate an optional field for a points ID - if it's empty / null then the current 0 can be used - otherwise it would link the uploaded points with a points rule by that ID number.

Hi there,

Oh, for my confusion on above reply. It would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this issues by creating a new ticket on the forums and set it to "Feature Request", so everyone else could vote for it, the more people request on this, and we will priority consider it.

Thanks for your understanding.

It's such a niche request I don't think anyone will vote for it!

I just saw it as missing functionality when compared to the Badge Upload equivalent.

It's certainly something I need but I'll try and live with doing additional SQL commands to populate the DB tables after Points have been uploaded.

Hi there,

I have consulted this with our developer and it will required heavy modifications on the site in order to achieve this as points are totally different from badges. And is also stated by you, that not everyone will check/vote on this, as we will gonna/high probability to implement this if there are interest(a lot of interest) from our Users(other Easysocial users).

But in case you are insisting on this feature, you can always request for a quote from us at https://crm.stackideas.com and select "Customizations" . Our sales person would be glad to send you a quote for the customizations that you have requested.

Thanks for your understanding.
