I am having a lot of difficulty getting the notification system set up. It either sends to all Joomla/Community Builder members, including those that are disabled, or to no one at all. Is it possible to have it send notifications ONLY to those who are subscribed to the blog, category, or blogger? I have all commenting disabled, for now, but anyone can subscribe to any or all of the blog entries.
Hello Linda,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to inspect on your current setup?

Thanks! Sorry to interrupt your weekend. I setup the Super Admin account, below. Easyblog is installed in Joomla 2.5.19.

Thank you for your help!

Hello Linda,

I've checked your site and seems like you didn't enable this option: http://screencast.com/t/bnmqRNtH . This option will execute the cron URL everytime the page is loaded. If you are not using this, you have to run the cron URL manually : "http://yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cron";. Unless, you have set up the cronjob in your cpanel. To set up the cronjob, you can follow this documentation: http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/how-tos/setting-up-cronjobs-in-cpanel . Hope this helps.

No, I have not enabled the option to run when the page loads because when I do it send notifications to EVERY user including those that are not enabled. I want to send notifications ONLY to those who subscribe to the blog...is that possible?

Hello Linda,

This option is only for run the cron URL. After the URL is executed, Easyblog will check for these options: http://screencast.com/t/ALqqUDJxMftp You have to run the cron URL in order to send those emails either using the Send on page load or the Cronjob in your cpanel.

Is there some other setting that I need to adjust so that notifications only go to subscribers of the blog and not to all users?

I just enabled the option to send notifications when the page loads and it started sending notifications to all members, again. There is something that I am missing!

Hello Linda,

I've made a test post to your site and seems like the email is only generated for subscribers and admin: http://screencast.com/t/osbZHnw5 . Did I miss anything? Please advise.
