Hi there, just want to point out. When someone comments on your picture, you are redirected on the ALBUM which loads everything. Is there a way to make it pop up just like when you click on the pic? It's using up lots of resources. And this will be a nightmare when a user have thousands of picture in his stream. The number 1 is good enough, but number 2 is an overkill.
Hello Ken,

Sorry but not really sure if I understand you here. Do you mean the links on the notifications? Currently this is not possible

It would be nice if notifications of interactions with images would lead you directly to the stream item instead... or better yet directly to one of those lightboxes that you guys use for pictures on the stream

I think what Ken means is the links from the notification icon. So if someone comments on a photo of mine, I could instantly see it via the popbox along side with the photo and usual stuff. This would save bandwidth, be consistent, and be easier to see the comment/photo. In addition to this, there is less scrolling involved to see the comment in the popbox method.

Currently we do not have any plans for this but we'll see what we can do in the future. I really do hope that you guys start using http://stackideas.com/voices/easysocial because most of the feature requests that you posted in the forums will most likely get flushed down when new support requests are being posted on the forums.

Ok, got it! Thanks Mark! Actually this is not a request but a concern/feedback on my end since it's using a lot of bandwidth . The album itself is great because you have the option to choose how many pictures will show on the front end and it shows load more at the bottom. But this one breaks that purpose since once you get in the picture, it preloads everything (literally) and is a big turn off making your site looks like it's loading really slow. I really don't mind if it loads 1 picture at a time with just go back to album button just like the link below

http://128.199.155.75/index.php/Social/Photos/a5nopxg-460sa-v1-1.html?type=user&uid=394

But then again, as you can see it's still the slowest page in my site.

I believe it's way better if the image notification redirects to something like this.
http://noteabout.com/index.php/Social/Stream/Item/1345.html

rather than the album to preserve bandwidth
Performance wise, it's a lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot faster than redirect on album ^_^ (and looks way better too!)

No problem Mark, I just feel your team can make ES better by loading less to do more (less SQL to run than "select *", less resource by just loading the image, and no more clutters when you want to see an ever repeating notifications).

Hello Ken,

Sometimes, it's not as simple as you think it is, there's a lot more complications than just that

Yes, I do realize that. That's why I'm willing to wait. At least we're giving feedbacks to make everything better. More power Mark! Your team is one of the best in Joomla world, and basically, the best in support as far as I know
