I have several websites that take an RSS feed from a master easyblog site and this arrangement has worked for years, after the .14 update this transfer lost the ability to transfer the images. Now all I get is the full text. I waited for the .15 update in the hope it was fixed but now I am reporting it as an issue.
It is easy for you to test, take a feed from here https://www.ncadd.org/blogs/in-the-news?format=feed&type=rss
and see if you get the image using your feed importer.
NOTE! The feed works transfering the image if you use the "Get full text from feed" set to no.
I have traied a few chnages to the other import setting but no images get transfered.
I do not think you need access to the site if so that is difficult because the customer has strict security through personal keys.
Please see if you can fix, to test just set up the feed for full article and see what happens.
Thank you, we at eback running without issue, I hope you can get the changes in the next release.

Hello Stephen,

I have tried to replicate the issue in my local using your RSS Feed url and it seems like the image get imported correctly with or without "Get full text from feed" enabled: http://take.ms/8UKME . Let me know if there is any other thing that I missed.

Alas I beg to differ, sure with the full text removed I get the images, but not with it enabled and this is across five sites all failed on update. Perhaps there is a difference between a new install and a mature system that has been constantly updated.
Also, I see from the screen capture you sent that this is most likely the rss feed version of the import because the image is small and not given any margin space. This looks just like what I get with the full text option disabled. In previous cases before the update, the image imported was a full-size image which took the full-page width. The attached word document shows the imported blog post before and after the update. The second block of text is pre-update and you see the div <div class="eb-image eb-post-thumb is-full"> has been transfered from the full blog post.
I want to give you access to a local test server here but no longer see and private way of doing this, how can I pass you access information?

hey Stephen,

We did changed this feed importer library in Easyblog 5.1.14 to cater most of the different feed HTML structure which not import feed content correctly in previously.

But it seems like this changes also caused this issue which unable to import the post cover image as well.

For now, can you download my attached old import feed library patch files and replace into following file location and see how it goes?

JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/readability/libraries/htmlelement.php
JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/readability/libraries/readability.php

You can temporary rename those original file first before you replace into that folder.
