I tried to update from v1.4 to 2.0.2 but was advised to install the new launcher at Step 3.

I installed the new launcher.

When I tried to update with the new launcher, it failed at Step 3 as my api key is no longer visible and the message says 'Contact Support'.

I do have a subscription, so either the new launcher cannot see the api key or has removed it from the admin area, can you correct this please?
Hi Richard,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue, I've fixed the API Key issue and the issue is from our end
Anyway, I've updated your EasySocial to latest version of 2.0.0

I apologised for any inconvenient that may caused to you.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Thank you for updating to ES2 Sam, appreciated.

Everything looks fine except for 2 items (not sure if i raise a new ticket or use this one):

1. I have a cover image that replaces the default image set up in the ../template/uber/html/com_easysocial_2-11-2016/covers/user/ folder but it is not appearing in the user/group/event profiles, just a black clolour appears.

2. There are a large number of similar warning/error messages now appearing in the stream (go to Community Menu):

include(......../media/com_easysocial/apps///themes/default/streams/media.title.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ........./administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/template/template.php on line 287

It is probably one conflict affecting the above errors, could you take a look?

Hi Richard,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

1. I have a cover image that replaces the default image set up in the ../template/uber/html/com_easysocial_2-11-2016/covers/user/ folder but it is not appearing in the user/group/event profiles, just a black clolour appears.

Regarding the above, look like you've named your folder wrongly. For EasySocial themes overriding to work, you must use the correct component folder name, which is 'com_easysocial'. I've created a new folder named 'com_easysocial' and I've copy the cover folder from 'com_easysocial_2-11-2016' into 'com_easysocial' folder and now the cover image is showing correctly.

As for your issue 2, I did not see any errors from your community menu page. Please see http://take.ms/Lx6VA
Is your this issue fixed?

Please advise.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Thank you for fixing item 1 Sam. Ref the folder name, it was com_easysocial before updating to ES2 and everything was fine, I didn't change it so perhaps the update automatically changed the folder name to include today's date (I assumed as it was automatic this was a new name to use with ES2), perhaps something to check in case it affects other customers.

Ref Item 2, the error message has now disappeared (it must has been related to the folder name as well) but the stream posts for new JReviews listings now include the <p> tag in the description part of the post and do not describe it as a new listing. You need to log in, click on 'Everyone' (not 'Me and Friends') in the News Feed and go down the stream posts until posts from 2 weeks ago (the last time a new listing was added) to see the error.

3. I just noticed there is a language string error in the Status update, it shows APP_BLOG_STORY_BLOG instead of Story or Blog (not sure which should appear).

Update - Ref item 3, I fixed it by updating the Blog App to the latest version, so only item 2 from previous posts remains as an issue - the JReviews integration apps were disabled on the update and when published the error message in my initial post appears again when logged in (if disabled the error message changes to the error in my last post).

EasySocial 2 seems to have a number of conflicts with JReviews and this is where the stream issue (item 2) is coming from but item 4 is now critical:

4. There is now a major problem on the site after installing EasySocial 2 as I cannot access any of my JReviews Directory listings when logged in.

The following error message appears:

"Call to undefined method SocialPage::processScripts()"

You can see the problem by logging into the site, going to the Directory menu and trying to log into any of the listings in any of the categories or (as a quicker route) clicking on any of the 4 featured listings from the home page.

Tthe problem is related to integration of JReviews with EasySocial and I checked with JReviews first - Alejandro said the code error is not theirs and I should check here.

Hi Richard,

include(......../media/com_easysocial/apps///themes/default/streams/media.title.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ........./administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/template/template.php on line 287

Regarding the above issue, I've added a fix on your Jreviews apps so that the stream will display properly. We will contract JReview to inform them about this issue and hopefully they will release new apps version to address the above. For now, your stream items from Jreview are displayed correctly.

4. There is now a major problem on the site after installing EasySocial 2 as I cannot access any of my JReviews Directory listings when logged in.

Regarding the above issue, it was caused by Komento and I've added a temporary fix on your site so that your komento can work with EasySocial 2.0. We will be releasing new version of Komento later today so that whoever using Komento on EasySocial 2.0 will not hit this issue

Hope this help and have a nice day!
