Hi i need some help in order to configure my process :

I have 2 groups of plans : artists and pros

when user subscibe to my site, they get a free plan thank to profile based plan (here i don't have any problem).

Then if they want to subscribe to any plan, it's possible only by using the "upgrade" (i don't want to allow my users to subscribe plans other way then by using the upgrade button, to avoid them to subscribe any plan in parallel)

But the problem is that when the subscription expire, i can't give them an another free plan. I have tried, by using Asign plan (in automation), but the problem is that when user make an upgrade it automatically create a free plan in parallel!


About pros plans :
here i witch user mannually after they give me some informations about them, but the process is the same, when their plan's expires it should create a free plan for them

In abstract this is what i want to do :

Free plan (on subscription) - > then user upgrade to paid plans -> on Expiration (they should have a free plan again)
can you tell me how to do that?

Hey Rrobert,

Let me know following
1. Free plan assigned to user on registration.
2. If logged-in/guest user visit to PayPlans plan page then only free plans should be shown.
3. Paid plan should be upgrade only.
4. On expiration of Paid plan, free plan should be assign to user. As i checked your site , you have create free plan whose expiration time is forever , it means plan will never expire. So no need to assign free plan again.

Hi Manisha,
can you tell me please how to configure pplans in order to have only one active subscription when user upgrade from a (paid) plan to another? (here user have made an upgrade from silver to gold).

But the problem is to do that i use assign plan (in automation), which should give a free plan to my user when their subscription expires. But when the make an upgrade, it automatically create a free subscribtion as the same time that it create a paid one.

Is there some possibilities to avoid that and have only on active?

Yes, it's possible using PayPlans Limit Subscription Feature. It will apply restriction on users to the number of times they subscribe a plan on the basis of subscription status ie Active, Expired, Hold and No status.

Hi Manisha,
but in my case the free (gratuit) is automatically generated by Assign plan when they make an upgrade. I've tryed your configuration, but it always creating a free subscription in this case.

the problem, is that when user upgrade from a plan to another, the old plan are expiring, which automatically generate a free plan in parallel. What i want to do is to avoid generating free plan on upgrade, but only when subscription are expired and user have not subscribing to any other plan. is it possible?

Hey RRobert,

I am really sorry for the delayed response as yesterday was public holiday.

Regarding above screenshot, it seems configuration is fine. When user upgrade from silver to gold plan , as per plan assignment on expiration of silver plan free plan should be assigned to user. But if user already subscribed to that free plan then no other free plan will be assigned to user.

I've registered one test user at your site (teststack) , so free plan assigned to user. Then Subscribed silver plan and then upgrade to Gold plan. On Expiration of silver plan , no additional free plan assigned to user. It seems working fine.
