i have an older joomla 2.5 site with an older easy blog installed, we are going to rebuild the site in a sub directory upgrading it to joomla 3.7, so we would also like to install the latest version of easy blog and migrate the blog posts from the older site to the new build. do you have any documentation showing me how to migrate older blog posts to a new site build and latest version of easy blog?
Hello Mitch,

You may follow the guide provided to migrate to another site at https://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/migrations/migrating-easyblog-to-different-site

It's almost identical since your subfolder is also considered a different site

Just out of curiosity, do you perform a paid migration service for this? This is a bit over my head and the instructions say that I should have the same version of easy blog on both the old and new site, which isn't possible because the old site is joomla 2.5 and the new site will be joomla 3.7

Hello Mitch,

Yep, we do provide such services and you can contact us for a quote at https://crm.stackideas.com

By the way, you don't necessarily need to have the same version (unless it is an exact copy) but let me just try to simplify this for you below:

1. On your Joomla 2.5 database, export all the tables with the prefix of #__easyblog

2. On your Joomla 3.7 database, import the tables that you have exported.

3. On your Joomla 3.7 site, install the latest version of EasyBlog.

NOTE:

- This guide assumes that you have not installed EasyBlog on your subfolder (Joomla 3.7 site) yet.
- This guide assumes that the user id's on both the sites are identical.
