Hello,

I have an issue with the way Easysocial Events URL are working.

I created a special menu for events:
Level 1: Events (all events)
Level 2: My events

When I go to "my events", the URL is .../events/my-events.
Unfortunately, when clicking on an event (even if created by another user), I get the same url .../events/my-events/eventpermalink

The URL should always be ...events/eventpermalink, if not, when sharing the event by URL on social media, you get permission issues... and also, module associated to "my events" menu item appear in other pages as well.

I hope this make sense! How can I force easysocial to only use ...events/eventpermalink when viewing the event detail page?

Thanks.
Hey Aikigi,

EasySocial maps the router based on the "view". If you have created an events menu item, it will use that as the item id. If you want it to use something else, you should create another menu item which links to the event's default view.

Hi Mark,

That was exactly what I did but Easysocial wasn't respecting it. I had created a special menu to manage all the event related menu items. The "My Events" menu item is a child of "Events" (which is the "all events" menu item).

But it seems that because the "my event" menu item was originally (before I made it a child item) created before the "all events" menu item, Easysocial was prioritizing "my events".

I deleted it, recreated it and now it seems to work as expected.

I didn't try to reproduce the issue so I don't know if it was a one-time thing...

Thanks.
