Hi,
we are running into problems installing easySocial on our Joomla 3.6.
(Method: 'Installation via Directory', because this intranet server doesn't have an internet connection)
The error given is: 'Sorry, there was some errors when trying to extract the queries.zip file. Please contact our support team.'

We double checked all file and folder permissions. They are set correctly.
Any help is strongly appreciated
Hi Gerold,
What we noticed for many users is that they get this error after they tried to manually upload the file to the directory. Do note that you do not have to do this because the installer does it for you.
Perhaps you can try the full installer again from Joomla's extension installer, select the package and click next?

Thank you. That did the trick. :-)
But now i have an issue with language: German language is installed (shows 100% and a green 'installed') but easySocial allways shows up in english. Are you able to help me with that also?

Hey Gerold,
Apart from EasySocial, you have to install the language in Joomla as well. Refer to this documentation for more details: https://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/languages/installing-joomla-language-pack
You can change the default language of the site to German by clicking the star button in Joomla's language page as mentioned in the documentation.

Thanks for your reply.
German language was allready installed in Joomla 3.6 and switching languages (German & English) just works fine in general.
I can not find any 'de-DE.com_easysocial.ini' files on my server. A llot of 'en-GB.com_easysocial.ini' like files are in the en-GB folder but no de-DE-files.
Maybe the files do not get through our firewall?
Is there a chance to download the language files manually?

Hello Gerold,

You would need to download and install the German language pack from the "Languages" section at the back end of EasySocial If you are still having issues with the language, is it possible for you to start a new thread so that we could look into this?

Hi Mark,

thanks again for your reply.
I manually downloaded the german files to my local desktop computer by adding our 'key' as an get parameter to the download link i found in the database table.
That worked just fine.
After extracting the files to the folders on our intranet-server, german language works fine now.
Thanks for your support.
