Hello,

A few days ago a user has paid twice a subscription.
The payment gateway used is Paypal.
I can see in my Paypal account 2 transactions.

In Payplans, I can see 2 transactions as well.
What is wrong in this case is that these 2 transactions are linked with only once invoice.
In other words: there are 2 transactions IDs and each transaction is related to the same invoice (same invoice ID for each transaction).
I couldn' say that one invoice is missing because the 2 transactions are in relation with the same invoice.

Have you an idea of what happened?

Well it seems user paid 2 times for same invoice, because you also able to see 2 transaction on paypal account.

The possible reasons
1. First user complete the payment and notification came late so invoice is in checkout state and user pay again for that payment.
So later notification came both payments and these are recorded in payplans.

2. Another reason that paypal send same notification 2 times with different id's . so 2 transactions created.

Please confirm me that you got double payment in your paypal merchant account and just showing notification.
Also let me know that this issue is with one user only or another user's also facing same issue.

In Paypal account, I can see 2 payments for the same user at the same date more or less 5 minutes apart.

As far as I know this only happens for this user.

Thanks for sharing this information.

The both transaction are created for 2 payment for single invoice. As you can see the difference in attached screen shot that these are 2 separate payment with single invoice.

This can be possible only if when user done payment 2 times, because in case of paypal user need to done the payment process , there is no way to deduct payment directly in case of paypal method.

In case of paypal after payment done , they will send notification after that payplans will create transaction for that invoice, sometimes it's immediately or it will take some time. so meanwhile it's possible that after return to site after paypal payment , invoice is in checkout state and user done the payment again , so 2 payment's done. Because after invoice paid , it's not possible pay again for that payment which is already paid.

So please confirm with the client or you can ask from paypal team also about it. Keep me update with the response.
