I'd thought I'd enabled possibility for guests to leave comments, but perhaps I didn't do it right. Someone wanted to do it , but couldn't, and I don't see how they can. Please advise!

Thanks, Robin
PS tomorrow I've a new diary item to schedule, so let's see if all your help with cronjobs etc is now fine.
Hey Robin,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

it seems like you have enabled 2 comment system for your site blog post, but you missed up enabled "Enable multiple comment systems" from your Easyblog settings, I have help you enabled it, the Easyblog default comment system will shown out on guest user now. Please have a check.

hey Robin,

When the user comment on Facebook section in your blog entry page, it will show in your blog entry section only.

Regarding the subscription button, do you mean you would like to completely turn off subscription feature in your site? If yes, you can disable from backend > Easyblog > Settings > general > Blog Subscriptions section

But unfortunately the rest of your request we do not have an option for turn off these.
I am really sorry that I can't assist you as we normally do not provide customization support as outlined in http://stackideas.com/support . Thanks for understand.

OK, I've turned off the : Settings/Comments/Integrations/Facebook Comments. I don't understand how it's of use, if it just only posts to the blog page anyway.

Subscription; no I don't want to completely turn off the subscription option. There is a subscribe button here (see screenshot) which is fine.
But the radio button (see blow) doesn't make sense on its own - I have switched off the subscribe option Only in the Post Comments configuration.

Hey Robin,

I have help you modified on this file -> JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\themes\wireframe\comments\form.php, it should disappear that subscribe checkbox in comment section.

Thank you very much, that looks neater.

What will happen to any modifications we've made, or you have, if we install a future update of the component?
do we need to keep a log of mods, so we could re-instate them?

Cheers, Robin

You're welcome Robin

I already put this customization file in your current template file -> /templates/basetemplate-joomla3/html/com_easyblog/comments/form.php so it will not affect when you update to next version of Easyblog.
