Hello

Need help in how I would set up a plan for this issue.

I have a site with Joomla articles users need to register to leave a comment.
the site has easysocial users need to register
Now I have installed OScampus by Joomlashack.com to create online courses that I want to have members subscribe to with PayPlans to get access to those courses.

The issue is I can't figure out how to set up PayPlans to let users register and use the site as normal then limit the Lessons to users with a subscription.

The way OScampus works is you need to set the lesson to the public so people/user can see the lessons but then set the actual lesson content to register. So users would have to register to do the courses, which was ok because I could just charge a subscription for every member just to register.

Now I want to add EasySocial and users need to register but now i cant just charge every user just to register.

I need to set the lesson content a level higher the registered and charge users to access that level.
How do I do that?

Ps could you make an App for OScampus? So we can charge per lesson? Currently, Oscampus does NOT have a payment option for charging users to access a course. Really painful not having that.

Thanks Adam
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Before I answer your question, I need to understand how this OScampus work :

1. If I created 3 main courses for example, Course A, Course B and Course C
- Is it everyone can able to access these courses on the site?
- Is there anything related with the Joomla user group for access these course/lesson?

2. Is it you want something like when the user click on the lesson to register, then required them to subscribe a plan first before enter this registration?

3. Is it possible for you provide us step by step how to join one of the course on your site? So I can better understand how it work on your site.

Now I want to add EasySocial and users need to register but now i cant just charge every user just to register.

I need to set the lesson content a level higher the registered and charge users to access that level.
How do I do that?

Do you mean when the guest user register on your site then automatically register those course as what their want?

Thanks for your reply, but I figured a way around by creating a new user group just for OScampus. Now if users register they can still access the site as normal, use Easysocial then if they want to subscribe to the OScampus lessons they have to purchases a subscription.

OScampus has no e-commerce functions at all. So if a user wants to access just one lesson. You have to let them access all your courses for free or charge a subscription fee to access all the causes as a package. Its really **** you can't just charge per lesson.

It's a good component, easy to use and create lessons it just not very e-commerce friendly.

Cheers

You're welcome.

Do you mean those course do not have allow user to set which Joomla user group can able to access it?

Perhaps you can provide us some screenshot or some guideline how to view this process how it work on your site? For example how you create course and lesson in this OScampus extension.

Once we understand it so we will see whether possible to integration with Payplans or not, if that is possible to achieve this and you urgently need this implement this on your site, you can required us to do this customization for you.

yes, you can create a user group level just to let PayPlan subscription members access all the courses.

Just cant configure it to charge for one course.

Found another LMS component by Joomshaper that lets you charge by course but not by subscription. So now I plan to use both components.

Joomshaper LMS to charge for a few single courses

Then do a subscription site in a subdomain and use Payplans and OScampus to do a monthly subscription to access all courses.

Looks like there's a market for a Joomla LMS that lets you sell courses individually and then as part of a subscription if only there was a good Joomla development team that could build such a thing. EasyLearning by Stackideas Hmmm. That intergrated with EasySocial. How about it?
