Hi Manisha, we had a faulty payment on Paypal. Don't know what but something went wrong and the instant payment notification didn't go thru so the Payplans order was not created. Instead it created an endless error email that keeps coming even after a Paypal refund. PLease help. The error email is at https://www.redmine-x.com/download/error.eml

There is none. The order didn't happen in Payplans orders. I can just give you the user:

Hey Micheal,

Thank you for sharing the user, I've checked and there is no subscription that exists for this user.

Let me know the following
1. Have you deleted a subscription manually?
2. Are you running any test sites for your live site?

Also let me know that in Paypal this is a recurring subscription, if yes can you cancel it from PayPal itself?

This is overall very weird. This is what happened chronologically:

1. user register on our website (this email comes when the user registers during checkout)
2. the error email came 3 minutes later
3. then we received an Paypal notification that we received some money. Btw. this amount is a strange one: it doesn't fit any of our plan w/ or w/o tax.
4. then we received a Paypal notification about an automatic payment (standard stuff)
5. then we received another Paypal notification that we received some money (also a weird amount)
6. then we received a Paypal notification about an automatic payment (quite logically)
7. then we started receiving the error emails and didn't stop.
8. then I made a Paypal payment to check it --> all good
9. I checked the weird payments at Paypal and both were there so I refunded them both and told the user to do it again.
10. however, the error emails just keep coming

Thank you for sharing detailed information on this.

I've checked your site and found that there is an entry exist in the payment table but no invoice or subscription exists on site.
This is very strange, didn't find any log regarding this.

As you said you already refunded those amounts from your PayPal account, ask the user to subscribe again.
To fix the email issue, either disable the ipn notification of a particular payment notification or need to delete the payment entries of unrelated payments manually from the database.

Let me know which method you prefer and also this is the only payment having an issue, right?

Yeah, tell me about strange :-) Since I don't know how to disable an IPN of a payment, I can go for the database. Just tell me what to do.

Hey Micheal,

This is very strange that the subscription does not exist but payment entry exists. it's not possible without manual deletion.
Need to disable the IPN from your PayPal account as well otherwise you will receive IPN sending failed from PayPal itself also.

Can you go to IPN in your PayPal account and see if is there any option to disable the IPN.
If not found then share the screenshot with me.

I can assure you we didn't delete anything. Regarding the Paypal IPN, don't I need this for the subscriptions to be activated? How will Payplans know that a particular payment was paid using Paypal if I disable IPN?

Hey Micheal,

Somehow the subscription was deleted from the site.
Regarding IPN, I mean the particular IPN having the issue, can we disable that so can not send IPN any longer.
Here is the IPN track id : f6512876af892

Rest of the ipn working as working before, only the particular ipn having issue i was talking.
