Hey guys, firstly, I have been providing Joomla websites for many years and I have never had an extension as impressive as Easysocial. It's truly remarkable.
My question is. I am setting up a social networking site for a school and I need to be able to have user notifications go out to 2 emails addresses. One email is the students emails address they sign up with, the second is a custom field for a parent email address. Is it possible to have notifications from conversation etc be sent out to the second email address as well?
Many thanks, Markus Graham
Hey Markus,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

Thanks for your compliment.

My question is. I am setting up a social networking site for a school and I need to be able to have user notifications go out to 2 emails addresses. One email is the students emails address they sign up with, the second is a custom field for a parent email address.

Unfortunately that was not possible to send out as you mentioned second email to your student parent email. Because by default the current system only send out 1 email to user when the user complete their registration on your site.

Is it possible to have notifications from conversation etc be sent out to the second email address as well?

Hm, I have a question for it :
May i know your student parent also as a members on your social networking site?
Because the Easysocial conversation feature only available for your existing site user and the system will send out the email to the recipient.

For example : I member A end message to member B (screenshot : http://take.ms/xKxrw ), the system will send an email notification to that person.

Thanks for the reply. No the Parent isn't a member of the site. The idea is that only students between a certain age can join.

What if it was like this:
Signup person (Student) email address (Email 1) is of course the primary user email that emails are sent to.
The Parent email address (Email 2) is a custom field email address that is required when signing up.

Is it possible for some extra code to have emails to Email 1 also forward an email to email 2?

The idea behind this is so that the Parent receives notifications, messages, friend requests etc to monitor what the child is doing for safety reasons.
Many thanks
