Currently it is not possible to achieve this as there are no such thing exited on current components as you are referring specifically to discussion on your groups.

However, you already present the announcements on the sidebar.
Copy the module and change the table name will bring you the right outcome

If there is any group module I wouldn't ask that .. but no such module.

For announcement it is already widget to show in the cluster but currently discussion is not yet available http://take.ms/G9yci
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate your request currently as it is quite difficult to achieve this

Thank you - announcements work great (I know ...)

Please take my request into consideration because Discussions are the heart of Group Activities.
If users cannot reach their discussions easily
the UX is less than it could be.
Currently, we don't have any module to display Discussions.

Perhaps, you can create a new ticket under feature request so that our developer can keep track the feature that can be implement in the future request
