Getting jlexart workflow working 100%

“4 Members”
“48 Videos”
“1 Discussion”

Please note that the layout is different on the “48 Videos” page.
Honestly I have not got a clue how this is working…
But the idea is that the group “FCPX Foundations Basic” is password protected.
For what ever reason clicking “48 Videos” loads another Group layout.

When I asked the jlexart support about this:

I want to say with you is the "Join" button will apply for all ES, so you don't worry about it. And about content of Group, if we have a application and it build based on group (has ID is 34) the JLex Block will help you protect page then. The video application is a special case, it use another layout so we need add it to JLex Block

I think some where there is something getting lost in translation but they seem very eager to get this working 100% maybe you guys have some kind of info/tips that will help them nail this?

When you click on the videos on the header, it is actually rendering the mini header of the group but it is from the same group:

1. Normal group page: http://take.ms/9b6GH

2. Group with mini header: http://take.ms/0r0m9

Unfortunately, it's impossible . The JLex Block just help you replace layout by HTML that created by you not from other source.

At some point I would like to buy the "Stream Anywhere Module" and have a stream on this page.

Is there any way from the SI perspective that I could only have the mini header on the "videos page" when some one has joined the group XYZ which is password protected?

any thought or ideas greatly appreciated

Unfortunately that was not possible to show the group header on other item page.

Based on what i see if the user do not have permission to access any video/discussion page from your group, i think you can ask jlexart team and see whether there got any checking code in order to show the 'Enter password' the password form on the page, so you can use that checking do not allow user to click those video/discussion link on the group page.

Because i realised that when i click on video or discussion page, all the layout is same except the header.

Honestly I can not complain. They did a great job in getting this to 97% of where I want it to be.

I can only recommend them.

If you guys do not/can not go help me with the last 3% I understand 100%

Yes, i believe no one fault here, this is something you would like make it perfect.

Perhaps you can try download my attached file and replace into this template override file location and see how it goes?
JoomlaFolder/templates/YourCurrentTemplate/html/com_easysocial/groups/item/default.php

It will check if the user haven't join the group, they shouldn't have permission to click anything from that header link.
