Hello. I need help with module positions...

I would like to display one module at sidebar for all listings page types: Albums Listing, Audios Listing, Events Listing, Followers Listing, Friends Listing, Groups Listing, Pages Listing, Polls Listing, Users Listing, Videos Listing, Dashbord...).

Is it any global position? Or I need to create 10+ module's copies and publish it on different positions (es-albums-all-sidebar-bottom, es-audios-sidebar-bottom...)?

Thanks.
Hey there,

You can assign the 'es-sidebar' position for each of those modules that you want to display.

But if you want to place a module on the left section of the dashboard area. You can choose which module that you want to display under position 'es-dashboard-aside'.

Can you have a try and see how it goes?

Hello. In some reason 'es-sidebar' position display module in some strange place (between left-sidebar and content). If I replace module by simple custom HTML, it still in not expected place. More at the screenshots.

Hey there,

It seems that it is a bug as I am able to replicate it on my local site too.

I will log this into our issue tracker.

Hello. Also I noticed that 'es-sidebar' position didn’t display module on Dashboard (main stream page). Thanks.

As I mentioned earlier, in order to show the sidebar in the dashboard, you need to assign the position 'es-dashboard-aside' for the modules.

Can you have a try and see how it goes?

I supposed to publish module at 'es-sidebar' and see this module everywhere, including Dashboard. Or dashboard has exception? And dashboard should not display modules published in ‘Es-sidebar’ as designed? Or it’s a bug?
Thanks.

Hi there,

It is a correct behavior. When the module is under this position 'es-sidebar', the module will be shown everywhere in EasySocial except for User Dashboard only. We only maintain a single module position which is 'es-dashboard-aside' for user dashboard.

In order to show a module on the left section of the dashboard area, you can choose which module that you want to display under position 'es-dashboard-aside' not 'es-sidebar'.
