Forums frontpage with categories

I'd like to create a similar forum front page like you have on your forums that shows a category and a few posts of the category.

Right now when I click on Forums, I only see a message "There is no discussion found." How do I achieve that setup?

Did you make sure there's posts in the category concerned?
You can configure the forum layout settings at Settings>Layout>Forums View
Also, if you did set certain categories to be private, only certain user groups are able to see them.

I've tried your suggestion and it works. At the moment my new site is offline but once I have it online, I'll provide the details.

Hi Raymond,

What I meant by that is that when I configure the forum layout settings at Settings>Layout>Forums View and then change the Forums menu item type to 'Forums Layout' I get the desired layout. Thanks for your help.
