Hi Support,

From the backend demo of Payplans, i observed that only a few things in Easysocial that Payplan can control and put in its plan.
E.g. the profile type, registration.

Is it possible the plans can be used to control which Group, Group Category, Page, Page Cateogory, Events, etc that the user can join instead of just the profile?
Hey Yubi,

Thank you for showing your interest in PayPlans.

Is it possible the plans can be used to control which Group, Group Category, Page, Page Cateogory, Events, etc that the user can join instead of just the profile?
What i understand you want to restrict user to join group, page or event of specific category according to plan subscribed by the user.
If yes, currently it's not possible to restrict it from group , event and page category page. but there is an alternate solution.

Alternate Solution : To restrict user to access particular category group/page/event page , you can create menu link of that particular group/page/event categories. Then these menu link can be restricted using PayPlans Menu Access app. Using this way you can restrict user to access group/page/event category menu's according to plan subscription.

Refer below mentioned link for more information about Menu Access app.
https://stackideas.com/docs/payplans/administrators/access-control/menu-access

Let me know if you have any query.

Thats sound great.

So you can set up permission and set up restrict specific EasySocial pages, events, groups, etc from being seen except for certain groups ie Payplans Menu access set up app.

I also write about a request about get permission request on a user profile field here https://stackideas.com/forums/view-certain-profile-fields-types-with-permission-restrictions

Yes from topic "View certain profile fields types with permission restrictions " https://stackideas.com/forums/view-certain-profile-fields-types-with-permission-restrictions som update explanation..

You could have same restrictions as now you have with other ES Groups, Events, Pages etc build on that to customised profile fields restrictions too with "Only me", "Groups", Custom etc as working now but also for if user himself restrict click on a checkbox then this field will have some restrictions as above also possible with Joomla ACL menu system. Like I want to be contacted or not the user decide or not. But some field will have site owner that decide if they should be visiable or not too. So just some fields have that function that the end user decide.

But I think ES already have a good system so maybe better to go for that first to do it that way.

Scenario is then that certain user/user groups can "see" these profile fields depending on PayPlans membership plans. One other feature would be to connect the notification system to trigger an action = email if a certain field would be active or not.

Example: If user in his profile tick a customised profile field for No/Yes then an action if changes from No to Yes with an email will be sent to certain user groups that are allowed to see this customised profile field. So when certain changes happens to a certain customised field that Payplans membership plan get notifcation of a change for certain users if they change some profile fields. So that should only be on certain set up fields options there not all..

Then you can create value with ES, customised profile fields with restrictions, actions of changes connected to this and also with integration with PayPlans. Hope you understand what I mean Mark.

I got your meaning once i read through some of the update from your feature request thread.

Current we haven't plan to implement this similar feature yet, but we will see if there a lot of users who want this features so we will definitely consider to implement this in the future.

Regarding another feature you mentioned at above, i think you can describe this into your feature request thread here as well https://stackideas.com/forums/view-certain-profile-fields-types-with-permission-restrictions .

By the way, thanks for your suggestion ssnobben.

You're most welcome, currently we can't promise you yet because we need more time to study their API documentation and experiment the code.

By the way, thanks for your suggestion.

Hey Syabab,

Currently this functionality is not available in payplans 4. As you can use menuaccess app to restrict these pages.

Update me if you have any query.

Thank you for understanding !

As discussed also here https://stackideas.com/forums/view-certain-profile-fields-types-with-permission-restrictions I think its very good to understand also Joomlas and ES ACL capabilities and how to plan make these system get to work togheter

Some good ACL tutorials for Joomla Role based ACL and that will be a good strong hold for Joomla 4 + EasySocial too https://www.slideshare.net/careytech/role-based-acl-2013
