I am always reluctant to introduce any extension changes to the live site without testing them locally first. I've tried both the Komento 2+ and ES 2+. On local Fedora and Debian systems. I'm continually getting failures. Some issues relate to clearing browser cache, but I'm finding issues everywhere. Things act different being logged in vs not. On all tests, once a login is initiated my home screen goes white. Any attempt to use my Kunena Forum gives a 500 Internal Server Error. I'm sure there's more problems that I haven't seen yet.

The addition of the "huge" ES Info (Admin) screen on my Joomla control panel page is not welcome.

The Komento update "seems" to have gone well, but I haven't experimented to find out is everything is totally functional.

As it stands, there is no way I'm going to add this to my live site.

I'm willing to give you access to a local server to test it for yourself. (I'll have to rebuild it from a backup to a state before ES2 and K2, first). Maybe if the errors can be seen in a test environment, they can be isolated before trying this on the live site.
A cache cleanup seems to have done the trick. Everything is looking good.

Thanks for your help!!

This is might be the miss-behavior of some older version apps, plugin or module. I have update/upgraded them to latest version and it seems that it works fine now. Can you have a check whether everything is working fine or not?

The addition of the "huge" ES Info (Admin) screen on my Joomla control panel page is not welcome.

I have disabled it for you.

Please advice.

Can you tell me which miss-behavior of some older version apps, plugin or module items you found that needed update?

How did you remove the ES (Admin) from my control panel?

I'm still getting the screenshot below for my home page after a login is attempted.

If we can correct this, I would like for you to update the live site.

Hi there,

Can you tell me which miss-behavior of some older version apps, plugin or module items you found that needed update?

Some of them are not updated to latest version. As a result, EasySocial2 cant "integrate" nicely and it will cause those error to persist. Those items are Kunena apps, Easysocial apps itself and some module not behaving correctly.

How did you remove the ES (Admin) from my control panel?

You can remove them at your Backend>Extension>Module>Administrator as shown http://prntscr.com/d5cg4h.

I'm still getting the screenshot below for my home page after a login is attempted.

I am afraid maybe your browser still store your session and cache. Maybe try to clear them first and see how it goes as on my end, i can successfully login without any error as shown http://prntscr.com/d5cgjc. Please advice.

If we can correct this, I would like for you to update the live site.

It my pleasure Mark . See if you can solve those issues above. Please advice.

I see your screenshot, but that is the forum page. Try clicking the "Home" button after login. I've tried this from numerous computers and browsers. I've cleaned all history/cache on each of these systems and I still get the screenshot that I submitted above.

Hi there,

Can you replace attached file on this path .../plugins/content/easysocial and see whether the problem still persist or not. Or maybe you can provide us with your ftp for us to fix it internally.

Changing the php file on my local server did not correct my problem.

The only way to solve these issues is to try the changes on the live server. I duplicated the site. All the pertinent login information has been changed inside the first post above. All your efforts before "did" help things out. The only issue I see right now is the home screen after login which is either blank or the image shown above.

Im glad that at least "did" something

The only issue I see right now is the home screen after login which is either blank or the image shown above.

Actually, this is known issues on end. This issues already fixed and will be included in our next release version. For time being, can re-upload again attached file to path given above or disable "content-easysocial" plugin at Backend>Extension>Plugins>content-easysocial. Please give it a check and see how it goes.

For the time being, I'll just wait for the next update. Right now your site lists 2.0.3. Will 2.0.4 have the problems corrected?

Hello Mark,

Yes, we will push out an urgent fix later today with the release tag of 2.0.4. Apologies for that as it was my mistake when I was trying to refactor the plugin.

OK, I gave 2.0.4 a try on my backup site. Everything looks good until you log in. My home page shows the submitted image home-page.jpg submitted above. The forum link gives me a 500 error.

These might be related to the outdated plugins that were mentioned above, but I can't seem to find any on my own.

If the problems can be corrected on the test site, I think we can give this a shot on the live site.

I dug around on the backup site's front-end a little more. Any articles under the "Basics" menu also show the red home_page jpg image.

(I've updated the backup site's login information that you will find under the original post.)

Hi there,

It seems that that our plugin is not updated/upgraded yet. The plugin mentioned is "Kunena - Plugin" as you can see here https://stackideas.com/apps/item/1-kunena . I have updated the plugin to the latest version, and it seems to works fine now. Please give it a try and see how it goes.

The information has been updated.

I'll need exactly what you did to the test site. Including the plug-ins.

The live site does not have Komento updated either.

Thanks

Alright, I tried it myself. First the Kunena plugin, next Komento, then ES2.0.5, and I guess a EasyBlog update was needed also. I did the EB update.

All pages are showing without any faults, logged in or not. So I think we've won that battle.

Now..... two issues that probably should be addressed with another post, but if you've got a quick fix, I'll take it.

On the home page, a members module on the left is now strung out vertically. This module had previously shown members avatars four to a row.

On my community page http://rotate.aero/community I have this "long" string of information on the left hand side of the page. It is worse when you're logged in.

Any quick fixes??

(Your login is still valid. Try the front end community page for yourself.)

Sorry can't help you setup your live site but i am glad that you managed to "won the battle" by yourself .

I have logged in and it seems that the view is shown correctly as shown http://prntscr.com/d7ghri. Maybe you can clear your site cache and browser cache first and see how it goes.

On the home page, a members module on the left is now strung out vertically. This module had previously shown members avatars four to a row.

Maybe because of your browser and site cache as it properly shown on my end as you can see here http://prntscr.com/d7gj4q

Please advice.
