Has anyone in this forum been able to test the latest ES with JReviews? The people at JReviews warned that they have not yet done testing (doesn't mean there are or aren't problems)...

Just wanted to reach out to see if anyone has bumped into any issues...
I believe there are some conflicts with JReviews app as per another thread that we have on the forum. We will send them another e-mail again and provide them with the necessary code snippets to get their app fixed.

We have already send an e-mail to all 3rd party developers on September 23, 2016 to update them about the upcoming EasySocial 2 release.

As much as we want all their apps to be compatible with EasySocial 2, there is only so much that we can do We can't be updating everyone's code as we won't have time to even fix ours.

@Haim

Alejandro posted in the JReviews forum after I contacted him about a conflict between JReviews and ES2.

Mark is referring to this thread

I am using PHP7 and the latest version of JReviews with all their apps integrated to EasySocial. The only conflict I have noticed is posting to the stream when a new listing is created and a temporary fix was applied by SI support. I notified Alejandro and SI will also contact him.

The other issue in the thread (unable to access listings) was because I use Komento and Reviews to allow comments and reviews for listings and Komento will be updated later today.

I had to manually publish the JReviews Apps again in ES2, not sure how they were unpublished but if you update to ES2, check the Applications are all published and update any that are required to be updated.

Apart from the above, everything else in JReviews (I have all JReviews addons on the site) seems to be working correctly with ES2, but please bear in mind all sites are different so that is not a guarantee it will work for everyone else.

I hope the above is helpful for you.

Mark. I didn't receive a September email and have not heard from anyone at Stackideas yet. It would be useful if:

  • You post the changes required for v1 Apps to make them compatible with v2
  • Explain if after making those changes the Apps are no longer compatible with v1 so that we need to have two different sets of Apps for compatibility with both v1 and v2

Hello Alejandro,

How's it going? It's been a while since we spoke and I hope everything is great there!

Okay, I think I know why. Your account did not submit any apps on our app store and this is why we weren't able to harvest from our listing. Is it possible for me to get your permissions to include your e-mail into our newsletter list for developers? It's much easier for us to notify developers in the future for any changes necessary.

As for your question, I believe Sylvie have sent you an e-mail regarding those errors we found on your app. Did you receive the e-mail from her yet? We also included a snippet of the fix in the e-mail.

Hi Mark. Sure, you can add me to that list. I haven't received an email from Sylvie. Can you let me know if two versions of the app will be required?

Hey Alejandro,

I have added you to our list. Nope, I believe you don't need two different versions of the app. I will check with Sam again tomorrow as soon as he get's to the office.
