Error updating Easyblog

Hi. I went to update Easyblog today from 5.4.13 to 6.0.6 and realised our subscription expired. I renewed our licence and tried updating again and got the error 'Error updating component when using the API from Joomla'. I read through the helpdesk and the answer seemed to be to upload the latest launcher installer. I did so and it now is just 'stuck' on initiating site files, and my blog is no longer accessible on the front end.. we get the error 'Error: 0 - Call to undefined method EasyBlogPagination::get. Hoping you can help us get it working, and get all our blog content back.

I am able to reproduce the issue now. It appears that this is not isolated to EasyBlog. I tried entering the following content on Joomla articles and save, where I also hit the 403 error.

Other words like features: does not hit the error. Can you check your server's mod_security whether there are such restrictions? Or it could be any other security rules on the server. If you don't know how to check, you can consult your webhosting provider regarding this.

Hi Sarah,

I just want to confirm, have you completed the installation successfully? Because I don't see any errors in EasyBlog on your front-end or back-end.

Hi Raymond. I just tried running the installer again, and it worked the second time! However, when I write a blog post, I can't preview, save as draft or publish.. I get a 403 Access denied on this server error? Any thoughts?

That's the post hitting the error. I can't save past that point - the title and the first text block. I have tried 4 times to finish the post which includes more text blocks, 2 images, 2 headers, a rule and a quote. I have tried pasting the text from Word, and also writing the post all from scratch. I can't get the full post through... As I add more to the post, I get the 403 errors??

Hey Sarah,

I tried adding some of the blocks you mentioned and they managed to save. I still did not hit any 403 errors. May I know which user account you are using to edit the post?

Hey Raymond. I am editing the post as super admin. I go to 'components'.. 'Easyblog' and edit the draft post in there. I have been trying different things and discovered that the problem is adding a H3. I want a H3 between the first text block and the second. But if I try to put one there, I get the 403 error. I was able to put a H3 after the quote block further down no problems. I could put a H3 under the third text block no problems... but then when I went to edit it... I got a 403. When I tried to move it up under the first text block I got the 403. I could add all other blocks with no issues.. it appears to just be trying to add a H3 where I want it?

Hey Sarah,

I tried adding a new heading 3 block under between first and second block but I did not encounter any issues while saving(attached).

Perhaps you can record a video of your steps and the error? It would also be great if you can open the browser console and see the details of the 403 request.
