I am getting different errors installing on 1.5. First I got: JInstaller::install: SQL Error. "DB function failed with error number 2006"
My php settings are max execution time 60, input 60, and memory limit 64.
I tried to install from the tmp dir and got a different error.
I have also received an error: Warning: require_once(/home/nhlibe5/public_html/nhdwiguy.com/media/foundry/3.1/joomla/framework.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nhlibe5/public_html/nhdwiguy.com/components/com_easyblog/constants.php on line 225

Any Ideas?
d,

If you are trying to install EasyBlog 3.9.x onto a Joomla 1.5 site you will get errors because EasyBlog 3.9 will no longer support Joomla 1. 5.

EasyBlog 3.9.x or later versions needs Joomla 2.5.x or Joomla 3.x to run. The StackIdeas Team included this news update a few months back on their blog page and perhaps you did not notice it. They clearly state that Joomla 1.5 support is no longer available for EasyBlog 3.9, but it is understandable that some people will not know this and will try to install EasyBlog 3.9 on a Joomla 1.5 site and get errors.

See this blog post for more info:

Notes
We would also like to announce that EasyBlog 3.9 will no longer support Joomla 1.5. You will not be able to download EasyBlog installer for Joomla 1.5 in your Dashboard as well. We only recommend and support Joomla 2.5 and above.

We'd like you to get your hands on the new EasyBlog and upgrade yours and that of your clients' site immediately.

--------------
NOTE: Support for Joomla 1.5 has officially ended. Does that mean your 1.5 site will stop working? No, your site will continue to work as it always has. However, Joomla’s developers will not be releasing new versions for Joomla 1.5, so you won’t be getting bug fixes or security fixes. For this reason, it’s recommended to migrate from 1.5.

See this page for more information on how to upgrade your site from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 2.5 or Joomla 3:
