May I know which users that are NOT subscribed to your Forum got email notifications and which users who used to be part of your organization years ago, some don't have anything to do with the forum but still listed in your website so that we can have a better check on it?

I noticed that your version of EasyDiscuss is out of date. Do you consider to update your EasyDiscuss to the latest version?

If yes, can we have the permission to update your EasyDiscuss to the latest version?

If can, please do a full backup on your site or setup a staging site first before I proceed for the update.

I am sorry for the delayed of this reply, it seems like when we trying to upgrade your site Easydiscuss to latest version then we only realised the current Easydiscuss latest version 4.1.x only compatible with Joomla 3.x instead of 2.5.

May i know is it possible for you to roll back your previous backup on your site?

Do you still remember what is your current Easydiscuss version?

I believe it was version 4.0.13 but not 100% sure.
rolling back the website is not feasible at this point, can you try a different method to fix easydiscuss?

I've checked on your site, it seems like I was unable to found out this email address 'HeatherPitts@oslmail.osl.state.or.us' or 'heather.pitts@state.or.us' exist on your Easydiscuss subscription list and this thread http://innovativeusers.org/index.php/iug-forum/iug-conferences/12519-new-england-iug-followup.html doesn't have any participants for this email address as well.

Is it this user always receive some email notification when someone reply on the different discussion thread on your site?

Thanks for fixing Easy discuss and rolling it back, YOU are the best!!


regarding the issue with receiving emails to those non subscribed old users, I tested it out and new posts are working fine as expected, not sure if it was just a glitch or what happen with this post.

To keep our website users database cleaned we deleted users who didn't login to the website for more than 3 years. so if such an issue happen in the future it's not as bad.

At this point we will just monitor the forum and let you know if this happened again.

I think you should check this subscription table from your database #__discuss_subscription whether those non subscribed old users email address still exist in this table.
