Hi,

I look for ED Group App... I have some questions about it:

- can Group owner, admin.. create its own "group categories" for discussions?

- under this app presentation (and also under ED presentation) I see the button "Assign moderator" and "Moderate"... we had installed ED and (when on frontend I am on my created posts) I dont see this buttons for moderating.. Must I set something on backend that get this buttons on frontend ?

Kind regards
Hi Uros,

I don't think this can be done. This is because ED group discussion app fetches ED categories when creating discussions. And ED categories permission is only based on Joomla usergroups, not ES groups.

I see the button "Assign moderator" and "Moderate"... we had installed ED and (when on frontend I am on my created posts) I dont see this buttons for moderating.. Must I set something on backend that get this buttons on frontend ?
I'm not really understanding the question. Which buttons do you not see? Basically the 'assign moderator' function is just to assign a moderator to a thread, like an assignment. Other moderators should still be able to moderate the post as well.

Yo can see it under this link here than you fing them where is written "Moderation workflow" on the left in the circle.
So... if I understand correctly this "moderation" is just for task and "who is responsiblje for the task" and is visible if you Create task?
And.. "moderation" is not for "Moderate" category, post? That means that User can not spam, ban, word filtering for its creating post..

Kind regards

Hey Uros,
The 'assign moderator' button is only visible if the usergroup has moderation permission in the post's category as configured in the category(http://take.ms/zFXl6). All super users are also moderators by default.

The 'moderation' dropdown beside the 'lock' button is different. This dropdown contains actions that are typically performed by moderators. If the category allows the usergroup to moderate, the options will appear. If not, you can still set the permission of these actions individually in the ACL section(http://take.ms/uWHz0).
