Hi support,

We face an issue for some time now that it got worst the last days (the latest problem perhaps is due to the recent EasySocial update). In addition, we performed some customizations with cometchat and again this might be one of the reasons that caused the problem.

The problems are:

1. Once a message is sent either through the EasySocial conversations either through cometchat the same message is sent 2, 3, 4, 5 or more times as per the attached photo. In order for you to check it immediately please refresh your page once you send the message - then the same message will be resent more times.

2. The EasySocial message counter continues to show many unread messages although these messages have been viewed.

Please note that in order to access the EasySocial conversations you have to click on the "view all" messages on the messages dropdown, because if you click on a message on the dropdown then the cometchat window pops up as this is one of the customisations performed.

I've checked your site and found out that CometChat plugin that causing this issue. I've temporary disabled the plugin and the message only appear one time. Please give it a try.

Thanks for the amazing support and the prompt replies in both tickets for EasySocial and EasyBlog.

Ok we will contact the cometchat support about the double messages but what about the EasySocial message counter that is "out of order"? Can you check that as well? I restate the point herebelow for your convenience:

Hello Phivos,

I didn't mean that. What I meant is the previous multiple message issue somehow has affecting the Easysocial Conversation table. I've made a test which I reply to one of the message with the word 'test', it also send to other messages: http://screencast.com/t/0CaC9wYCUuO . My advice is you might want to
- delete all the conversations for this user giorgos
- make sure the CometChat plugin is disabled
- make a new fresh conversation to see the notification issue.

Please give it a try.

Dear Nick,

We tried it and it works once the cometchat plugin is disabled. The funny thing is that we went with cometchat because we saw that the two components are compatible but right now we face these issues. Let's hope they will manage to fix it and hopefully not to disturb you again. Thank you.
