Dear Support,

We face a weird issue. In the EasySocial community component of our site there is a string that appears many times:
"user" created new poll

This appears many times and for various actions as you can see in the attached photos. Please check especially photos 116 and 118, where the users "Fanis" and "Erhan" created a new EasyBlog post but still the string that appears on their profile shows:
created new poll

How can we control that string and the times that this appears for the same action. Because the user "Erhan" did not create so many EasyBlog posts as per the times that the strings appears on his wall.

In addition, is the system designed to show a link to the user's EasyBlog article in the user's EasySocial stream?

Regards,
Hi Phivos,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

Hm, seems like the stream is actually generated by community polls extension instead of easysocial built in polls. I just tried to vote one of the polls from that extension and it will generated the same content as your screenshot above, http://screencast.com/t/dCcu32dWq .

I've take a quick look on the community polls component itself and notice that they offer integration options with easysocial. Refer my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/eaX13AYoPP . Perhaps something is not right with the integration and thus causing the issue above. Can you consult with the developers of community polls instead and see how it goes?

What about the EasyBlog stream if the user creates a new blog post? Is there an option to display it in the user's profile page stream with a link to his blog post?

Hey Phivos,

When a user creates a new blog post on your site, a new stream is generated on the site. This stream will appear on their dashboard and profile. Clicking on the stream title (which has the blog's title and link will direct the user to the blog's page)

Dear Mark,

This is great interaction between EasyBlog and EasySocial. But this does not work in our case. Did we miss any option in the backend that we had to select for this function?

In addition, now that I checked in the EasyBlog integration settings with EasySocial:
the user is not notified through EasySocial on new blog post approved, on new comments on his blogs or new rating on his blogs.
We have everything selected to "Yes" in the stream tab.

So for sure we missed something

Go to the back end of EasySocial and discover the rules for alerts at the back end. This ensures that all the alert rules are installed from EasyBlog

Dear Mark,

I found the new alerts and now they are listed in my EasySocial>Alerts.

But again, once we create a new blog this is not listed in the user's stream neither the user receives a notification on new blog post, although these are published in the alerts.

Did we miss something else?

I don't see the blog app installed on your site. You need to download the app http://stackideas.com/apps/item/5-blog and install it via EasySocial. I have done this for you and they are showing up now

Dear Mark,

Thank you for that. We cannot enter into the profile page of all the users that created a blog post. We face a 500 error.

Once we disable the application this works fine. Please see the following user profiles. Once you disable the blog app you can visit them.

Hey Phivos,

You are getting error because you are using an outdated EasySocial version. The app requires versin 1.4.6 Once you update EasySocial to the latest version it should be fine
