How to change the logo and background image?

Hi kerry,
You can change the login background image in EasySocial backend Settings>General>Login(http://take.ms/Nor2I).

This is actually template related.
Different template may have different ways to insert a site logo. For your case, since you are using the protostar template, you can try heading to the protostar template style configuration page and upload your logo there(http://take.ms/aqKg9).
