Mentions: This is a great feature for EasyDiscuss, I love it. I particularly like to see EasySocial and EasyDiscuss integrated and seamless to every possible degree to where they fully compliment and magnify each other when both are in use together. When you make a post

1) Is it possible in EasyDiscuss to include the "mention" feature when enabled within the EasyDiscuss quotes? So if I hit the quote button, the @ mention of the person I am quoting prefaces the quote?

2) Can I display the EasySocial points next to or below the Username or avatar of the user within EasyDiscuss posts?

3) There are a few places where if you are using EasySocial for EasyDiscuss profiles, the integration is off and instead conflicting EasyDiscuss legacy profile data is displayed. This causes confusion for users. For example if you create a link to the EasyDiscuss My Posts Layout. The Badges and Points information will be wrong for the user. Same for the My Favorites Layout.
Hi Paul,

Kindly find my response for your inquiries below:
1) Is it possible in EasyDiscuss to include the "mention" feature when enabled within the EasyDiscuss quotes? So if I hit the quote button, the @ mention of the person I am quoting prefaces the quote?

-> Yes it is possible https://www.screencast.com/t/vLJ8sFUuwrWX

2) Can I display the EasySocial points next to or below the Username or avatar of the user within EasyDiscuss posts?

-> Unfortunately, there is no setting for this currently.

-> I'm not entirely sure this inquiry, correct me if I'm wrong here, do you mean the point and badges on my post layout http://take.ms/48xl6 should be use to easysocial's badges and point? I've consult this to our developer and it is the default behavior where, as you accessing EasyDiscuss forum system users will know the specific badges&point that certain user get in the EasyDiscuss system specifically and not for the entire EasyDiscuss plus EasySocial.

Your screenshot is I believe saying to do it manually. But what I was saying was that when you hit the quote button, it should prefill the quote area with the mention prefacing the quoted text. This is more important in longer threads where you may have multiple replies as well as nested quotes. So prefacing the quoted text with the mention would be very helpful to distinguish who was being quoted. If the mention functionality could not be included at this time, that would be a shame but at least having the username prefacing the quotes would improve the UI significantly.

What I'm saying is and as others have mentioned, it should either be integrated or not. Having dual systems displayed to the users is confusing. I didn't say this in my post but as others have mentioned, having things like two separate toolbars, two separate notifications systems and conflicting icons etc for the same purpose is bad UI on a lot of levels. In the EasyDiscuss admin for example it says "Use EasyDiscuss Points System" so if you as the site administrator, choose that option, then that is how it should be. Seamless integration is the ideal for using Stack products. It makes everything better. Clunky integration and you may as well just go out and pick and choose extensions from the wild.

-> Ah now I know what you mean, sorry for the misunderstanding. Regarding this, unfortunately it is not possible currently.
Perhaps, can you create a new ticket under feature request so our developers can keep track the feature that can be implement in the next release

-> It is okay Paul, it is what this forum is all about right, to make our component to be a better component with accepting the feedback
Regarding the toolbar integration, you actually can place the EasySocial toolbar module in the position easydiscuss-before-toolbar http://take.ms/Ybtjs as the conflicting icons.
Regarding the point inquiry, you got the point here Paul, perhaps, can you create a new ticket for this under feature request so our developers can keep track on this?
