When I go to my notifications page I get links to recently published blog posts that have a wrong URL:

https://www.drcarney.com/clan/notifications

The link I get says

drcarney created a new blog post: "Milk Makes Estrogen Levels Rise" 12 hours ago

It links to the following url which gives a 404 error:

https://www.drcarney.com/administrator/blog/entry/milk-makes-estrogen-levels-rise

It should be going to the following url:

https://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/milk-makes-estrogen-levels-rise

/administrator is being added and needs to be removed.

Thanks, Sean Carney
Hello Sean,

Are you running on the latest version of the blog app and plugin from https://stackideas.com/apps ?

Do you mean Blog (v1.0.24)?

I am assuming this is what you mean. I have downloaded it and will install if if it is not there and up-to-date.

I also am not sure where to find the 'plugin' there in the app store

It ends up that the Blog articles app was not enabled. I enabled it and updated it. I have still not found the blog plugin and I am also not sure that this is actually the app you were referring to. But, when I went to the stream the only url that was there was still wrong. However, that was older. So, maybe I have to wait to another blog is posted. I don't want to post a test blog because the site is live.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

The blog app located from this link -> https://stackideas.com/apps/item/5-blog

By the way, I already checked in your site, it seems like your blog app already updated to latest version, keep us update if the issue still persists.

And provide us with your site user account which have this wrong notification link.

This issue still exists. Any other clues would be appreciated.

And, I corrected the notification link. Sorry. we had changed the name of that menu item and it changed the url.

The corrected URL is https://www.drcarney.com/clan/notifications

Thanks, Sean

Hey Sean,

I've tried to login as stackideas user account but it seems like this user account do not have any notification from Easysocial, perhaps you can provide us with your user account so I can double check on this?

Thanks Arlex. I just created a test blog and then checked the notifications and had not received on. But, it may take some time because I am thinking maybe the notification will happen when the cronjob executes?

It seems to be working. It did not notify me of my test blog but it did notify me of the blog that Dr. Carney just published.

There could be two reasons for that.

1) Maybe I was not notified because I was not the author
2) Maybe I was not notified because it was not published in the main /blog/ section but rather in /membersblo/

Hey there,

Thanks for getting back to us that was worked for you.

1) Maybe I was not notified because I was not the author
2) Maybe I was not notified because it was not published in the main /blog/ section but rather in /membersblo/

It could be because of this, if you would like to check, perhaps you can provide us with your following details so we can able to help you check on this?

- what is the user account created that test post
- what is the user account you trying to get system notification from Easysocial

I am thinking that you probably have this fixed but am going to wait until the next couple blogs go out and check again. I see the it is working for the most recent blog.
