Hi

there is many requests to integrate EasySocial with HikaShop/MultiVendor and I wonder why this two great Joomla extension can not get married and work nicely together guys?

There is discussions here about some attention to make this work before but due to something like misunderstanding? or whatever this never happened.

https://www.hikashop.com/support/forum/feature-request/862234-integration-with-easysocial.html?start=60#256913

Pls StackIdeas can you not pick up this ball again and make it work!

Cheers!
Hi,

I fully agree!

As far as I know, no social network site, so far, allows a page owner to have is own mini store. This would bring an extra value to both EasySocial, HikaShop, site and page owners.

Now that EasySocial 2 has pages, each page owner, companies / organizations or individuals would have a way to lunch, promote or sell their products. In terms of ecommerce, it would be like a multistore platform and each page would be a store.

The way I see it, there would be an EasySocial app available to the page owners to install. The app would create a menu only available to the page owner perhaps on the left side page menu to connect them to their store. From there, they would be able to manage their mini store, just like a normal ecommerce site. The products they sell would be, at least, displayed on the owner's page. Everything, from creating and editing products, setting up prices and payment gateways would be available as on a normal HikaShop ecommerce site.

What do you think about this? I am certain a lot of traffic would be generated towards the social network as page owners would want promote their store to all their friends.

Great that you explain one user scenario Mario and I think EasySocial will benefit and get alot of new customers that want/need this kind of social and e-commerce solutions.

Hi Guys

As far as I understand it was promised in a Blog post about ES 2.
There was maybe a break down in communication at some point?

I too have my insane
User Scenario
Moodle/Joomdle/Easy Social/Hika Shop.
I am planning to use this set up to promote and sell online training!
As of today I got the Moodle courses via Joomdle into Hikashop.
The weird thing is that Joomdle integrates with ES and Hika shop!!!
So maybe I have every thing I want already!?!
I still have to get my head around how tight the integration actually is!

On a side note I tried using Payplans from Readybytes but found it to be a nightmare to set up.
I am not saying that Payplans is bad as such but for some one with my level of expertise...
It just does not float my boat

best

Paul

Thinking about this further:
I guess what would be cool would be a "Purchased Products" section on ES profiles.
a) Navigate to my "Purchased Products" from my own profile
b) See other user "Purchased Products" on their profiles & navigate to the "Purchased Products" they have bought!!!
c) Recommended Products based on your friends and what they have purchased or based on your profile!

Thanks Paul for your input and its a lot of opportunities for a win/win situation for many parties here. Good that you do some business development scenarios here..

Maybe make a list that could be filled in and added as the first pinned post here that you control.

I do not think it is a big mystery how the integration could look:

To the best of my knowledge there has already been integration done with the ES points system?

From the thread mentioned above!

Jerome:

The only positive point there is that I was able to update the HikaShop user points plugin to integrate with the "EasySocial points" ; it was at least the only part available to me (even if there is no documentation and I had to read the source code to perform that integration).

"pprle" suggests in the thread you posted above:

So a first step could be an integration Hikamarket like Quick2Cart does it for ES.
description here : techjoomla.com/products/quick2cart#integrations
demo site here: quick2cartdemo.techjoomla.com/index.php/2014-04-22-14-56-14

The last comment from the thread reads as follows:

imarklee wrote:

Perhaps it would be a good time that we kick start this initiative again Jerome?

to which Jerome replies:

Sure, with pleasure !

Between EasySocial 2.0 and HikaShop 3.0 ; both team were very busy, but it was not for nothing when we take a look at the amount of work which has been done (and the size of the changelog).

Regards,

@ Mark, I have no idea of the ins and outs of a co-operation like this but I think just "reaching out" to the Hika team would go a long way.... I have the feeling that they are really keen but a little cautious after previous break downs in communication...

I am also offering to help in any way I can testing etc.

Do you know if that means people can buy inside the shop with ES points or even pay the commission of selling products on the platform with ES points?

Hi Sabih

I have no idea.
I guess you have to ask them this!

There is also this maybe it does what you are thinking of?

Buy Points with Hikashop from nordmograph

https://www.nordmograph.com/extensions/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=138&virtuemart_category_id=22&Itemid=58

I bought a plugin from them before and I was pretty happy with them

Alright, thank you Paul. Nordmograph addons are fine. But buying points makes no sense if there is nothing to spend these one.

I know nothing about Quick2Cart.
But seeing as how I am using Joomdle these are my options:

Hikashop
J2Store
MijoShop
VirtueMart

Hikashop co-operation was promised that is why I took the Hika Shop Route and I am loving it.
Nicolas from Hika Shop has been very helpful.
I am 99.5% there…

With respect to Jreviews I was thinking about this today and found the following:
https://www.hikashop.com/forum/2-general-talk-about-hikashop/15671-jreviews-hikashop-compatible.html
Hikashop also has a basic built in review system...

Also here is a plugin for CB:

https://www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/70-hikashop-integration-with-community-builder.html

Which shows one of the ways ES & Hika could be integrated...

In the above eg of integrated, personally I would like to go from orders to products and not from orders to the shop!
But in a pinch I might be able to get ReRepalcer to help me with this

Hi,

I tested many possibilities and I am frustrated.

List of ecommerce components I tested: DJ Classifieds, Quick2cart, Vmvendor + Virtuemart, Hikashop + Hikamarket, Jreviews + Quick2Cart ...

At this time, DJ Classifieds is better than others.

- About Vmvendor + Virtuemart:

Inconvenients:

- Some minor CSS trouble with Easysocial2;
- Some trouble compatibility with Easysocial2 apps;
- Add product form is not appropriate to set custom field (native from virtuemart or not);
- You cannot set field or custom linked to its own category;
- Many problems of compatibily with many templates, frameworks and plugins; Only youtheme templates and protostar are fully compatible. With Youtheme templates, you cannot set without hacks your virtuemart or buy VM3 Uikit but it's really limited for setting.
- You cannot use all Virtuemart plugins from other developpers (advanced custom field, cherry picker, ....)

Advantages:

- Only interesting to sell download file without need to set a lot of custom fields. For selling download files, you need to purchase "Virtuemart Downloadable Products" from eKerner, the only third party plugin compatible because Nordmograph use it.
- When easysocial users add a product, stream in easysocial wall is perfect.

To sum up, you cannot use all virtuemart possibilities and you will not be able to build an interesting & professionnal marketplace.

Quick2Cart:

As they said: "simple ecommerce"

Inconvenients:

- Techjoomla support is very poor and slow;
- Streaming on easysocial wall is really poor (e.g. "Super User added a product Test to store Bazar Store — 43 minutes ago")
Only one line on your wall, without category name, without product photos, without nothing....
- Building marketplace pages are awfull and you need hacking your codes.
- No compare product plugin
- Poor Plugin search
- No plugin available to improve your marketplace (product sliders, ...)

Jreviews + Quick2Cart:

Inconvenients:

- Not fully compatible with PHP7;
- Very Too expensive (around 600$ with extensions)
- Too much time for setting tempate views
- Too much time to set each category, category menu, subcategory, fields, custom fields, ...
- You need to buy Quick2cart (34$) only for payment extension and buy Jreviews quick2cart plugin (19$)
- Not fully compatible with Easysocial2 at this time

DJ Classifieds:

Inconvenients:

- No compare products;
- You have to hack the search css code to display correctly in horizontal way
- You have to hack your template codes to display as you like your marketplace, it's only fully compatible with EF4 Framework.
- You cannot use DJ Classifieds to build a job board and a marketplace (e.g: you don't need product photos for a job ads)
you cannot set correctly different view depending category.

Advantages:

- Fully compatible with Easysocial2: stream, averts user, social profile, ...
- You can set this component to build a kind of marketplace (surely not enough professionnal as hikashop + hikamarket)

Hikashop + Hikamarket

Inconvenients:
- Not compatible with Easysocial2
- Very expensive with all addons

Advantages:
- The best complete & professionnal marketplace of Joomla components.

Compatibilities between Hikashop + Hikamarket + Easysocial must be the following stuff:

- When A user(seller) add or update his product in the marketplace, a stream in easysocial wall is automatically added ( photo, category, date, link to see the product in the marketplace, shop name with a link to the shop of user...)
- In easysocial Page, if a user create a page for his shop for example, display a button linked to his shop in hikashop.
- Display an easysocial profile link (or button) in hikashop profile to let buyer see easysocial seller profile and also with easysocial seller page profile.
- Use Easysocial registration instead hikashop registration or hikamarket registration, I don't know if we use JFB Connect we could not linked Joomla user registration (used by hikashop) and easysocial registration. Maybe there is no need to build integration between easysocial registration and hikashop registration.

I think is enough in term of compatibilities between easysocial2 and hikashop/hikamarket.

Don't hesitate if you have any suggestion...

At this time, I hope as many people to see integration between Hikashop/Hikamarket and Easysocial2

Hi Hmed,

In my opinion at this time, only for downloadable products: Vmvendor + Virtuemart + Ekerner

But depends template and framework you want to use.

Unfortunately with Helix Framework you will get the same trouble with Vmvendor.

As you can read in Nordmograph website for VMVendor component: "Non exclusive list: 'Recommended template providers' that are out of the box compatible with VMVendor : Yootheme
Other J3 templates might be compatible too, but may require you tweak some VMVendor compatibility options."

HMED,

I understand. I don't like Youtheme.

I think T3 Framework (joomlart or other providers) is good because more flexible and customizable.

Hey guys,

How do you guys setup Hikamarket / Hikashop? I am struggling trying to understand the workflow in Hikamarket / Hikashop

I have reached to a stage where I am able to setup a vendor, http://take.ms/yxBJl

However, clicking on products or anything else leads to http://take.ms/I4z1K

Okay, great news. Managed to bypass all those permission stuffs Now, I need some help understanding the concept behind Hikashop / Hikamarket.

1. Does Hikashop allows users on your site to create products? Or it requires Hikamarket?

2. From what I see on Hikamarket, it is basically just a vendor account that has multiple users in it. If #1 is correct, then how would one relate a vendor to a user? I don't see the relations here because a vendor could contain more than 1 user at any given point of time.

3. It is my understanding that the vendor's admin account is the primary user account. Can I safely assume that the vendor's products be listed on the admin's profile?

1. Does Hikashop allows users on your site to create products? Or it requires Hikamarket?

It requires Hikamarket to be multivendor (admin + users with specific ACLs)
Vendors access their vendor account with a special menu link of Hikamarket all this accessible from the front-end.

2. From what I see on Hikamarket, it is basically just a vendor account that has multiple users in it. If #1 is correct, then how would one relate a vendor to a user? I don't see the relations here because a vendor could contain more than 1 user at any given point of time.

Hikamarket is very powerful and advanced e-commerce system you can deploy upon your specific needs.
- You are a main vendor and allow other vendors to sell on your website next to you.
or You can not sell anything directly to users but collect a fee or % for vendors selling on your site (you "rent" your marketplace/website).
or You can have a main vendor but also "zone vendors" that will supply the buyer from a determined location based on the buyer address.
- and more... and more specific configurations upon your needs ...

3. It is my understanding that the vendor's admin account is the primary user account. Can I safely assume that the vendor's products be listed on the admin's profile?

Users only have one account but have different roles/access with ACLs, in a way very similar to ACLs of EasyDiscuss.

Upon the first installation, HikaMARKET associates a MAIN VENDOR with a Joomla! SuperUser
The MAIN VENDOR is to hikamarket what a SuperUser/administrator is to Joomla!

Then every website registered user can access all the followings accounts following his ACLs:
- his user account (that is joomla/hikashop/EasySocial integrated profile) <- here we need to synchronize the custom fields of hikashop/hikamarket with EasySocial profile custom fields (account fields + custom fields like shipping/billing address + VAT number, etc.)
- his customer account (hikashop user account)
- his vendor account (hikamarket vendor account)

I feel it is going to get difficult to follow and understand all components possibilities and our functionalities requests.
If you could allow me/us to access the development website I believe it would be easier and quicker for your team and for Jerome/Nicolas to better understand our needs and collaborate better.

PS:
For your information I tested the following ecommerce options with easysocial:
- Virtuemart
- Quick2Cart
- Jmarket
- DJ-Classifieds
- Dj-Catalog
- Hikamarket

On a live site e-commerce platform I have used Virtuemart, Jmarket and Hikamarket
About 4 years ago I moved from Virtumart (since 2009) to Hikashop/market and will never regret it !
I thought Jmarket was a beautiful gem, it has all the option one can dream of but I can tell you it is a nightmare to use! It still is fully buggy after 2 years, still a beta ! and impossible to use it in another language than english without spending WEEKS and weeks of translation for one more language (even the native english file is full of typo, spelling and grammatical mistakes)!

I am personally using simultaneously all SI components + HikaMarket + Dj-Classifieds + Dj-Catalog + OSTraining (Yes! all of them in one website )

About the EasySocial Apps:

Before pages ware added to EasySocial I would have asked an App to display "My products" (for sale) on the Vendor EasySocial profile page.

But now that we have Pages I dream of it differently:
Listing/adding the HikaMarket shops (vendors) and products could be done with a dedicated Page Category

ACLs synchronisation between HikaMarket and Special EasySocial Category for a Shop Page Creation
Only Vendors can create a Shop Page
Or even BETTER:
An automatic page creation (for vendors) then automatic published/unpublished Shop Page / product display.

- Creating a linked Shop Page from EasySocial profile (and vice versa) + still having the possiblity to display Hikashop/market from native joomla menus.
Hikashop integrates also a vendor rating/review system that could be integrated in the EasySocial Shop page.

More:
For all users (ALL users, because vendors can also be buyers) an App to display "My Purchases" maybe with the possibility to also display the users' review of the product he bought.
