Hello,

I've been struggling to understand the best way to bring my EasySocial sites to the Apple and Google Play Store. I considered a PWA approach, but it still seems like a lot of work and money. I'm looking more at the EasySocial native app, and have a couple of questions.

1.) With the native app, the design would be totally different from the web application (not the end of the world, but I'd like to have it be as similar as possible). What options do we have for designing the app? Are there built-in options for basic styling/colors/margins/padding/fonts, etc...Could it be styled just like a theme that I'm using for the web application, for instance, http://demo.cmsbold.com/bold_socialplus/ ?

2.) Is it possible for the Web application and the mobile application to share the same database... so that if a user signs up on mobile it will show up on web application and vice versa... essential all actions like photo likes, friends follow, photo uploads, etc. all being synced across the two applications? Is this possible? Is that a native capability and how the app is intended to work, or what would that require?

Great products... and much thanks for helping with these questions,
-Zehn
Hello Zehn,

Please find my response to your questions below:

Designing a native app is not as flexible as the web but we try our best to make everything configurable. Here's a video of what Titan can be used to configure the app, https://take.ms/irSxo

Yes, this is essentially how it works. The desktop app is just an "interface" to the user while the entire database is still loaded from your site. Setting up the app requires that you install a REST API plugin on your web.

The only limitation is that not every single feature in EasySocial is ported into the native app as there are just too much to be ported and not every feature can be ported due to the complexity of the native app

Hope this helps Zehn! Let me know if you still have any inquiries.

Much thanks Mark! These are welcomed answers for sure. The video was extremely helpful in helping me understand the platform and what's possible. I can definitely live with not every single feature being ported over - to that end could you tell me if the following would be on the native app?

1.) Pages
2.) Groups
3.) Events
4.) Search Pages
5.) Language Overrides (It looks like that's the "Translation" feature, correct? For instance, changing "Friends" to "Buddies"... or "Pages" to "Businesses"..etc... Not sure how exhaustive the translations are, but hopefully it covers some of these common terms?

Huge thanks,
-Zehn
